Nice DU bends, London! And 4.5" is a very mean length to bend.

Thanks mate, it's not my bread and butter like it's yours, but I would like to get better at it!!

3x 5"x1/4" grade 5 "NDF" bolt single leathers touching underhand in 1:30. Wanted to do a medley with 5 but I'll settle for 3 today after such little sleep and exhausting work.

Another bending medley

Here was a pic of the whole session, done in single leathers.

2x 1/4"x7" Square CRS (fully crushed DU style)

1x 1/4"x7" Square stainless

5x 1/4"x7" Square stainless medley

4.5"x1/4" Stainless Square.

Doubles. On the left. Next to it is the 5" one I posted on this log a while ago. This bend took me 10 minutes to do, and it was a sporadic one. Afterwards I didn't particularly have energy for anything else. It's a very old piece from tim butler.

4.5 is a shoooort bend dang dude. Good work.

Thanks man, means a lot.

I've been refining my technique and wrapping on the shorter pieces. The smallest things matter, especially the shorter you go.

I find crushing isometrics with a towel and brick to help a lot. It's something I learned from Don Cummings.

These types of bends in doubles become really crush dependant.

Thats insane. I've never spent that much time on a bend unless i was snapping. It must be pretty draining.

I will if there's a lot of movement and I have one part left.

After 5, minutes, if I'm not past the sweep I usually give up and call it an isometric, and save the rest of my energy for a couple other bends.

Had a lot of Italian food and a great Cabernet.

It was our wedding anniversary so I got a lot of good ways in for some big training the next day.

Just 10mmx8" HRS in 1 1/2 leathers.

Probably the hardest HRS I tried. I've done easier 7" ones in singles.

Rough work day and rough week.

Tried another 4.5"x1/4" stainless hex, except this time double overhand.

It broke in half on the crush portion.

The snap was brutal.

damn, hope you're ok (I guess so though because you haven't mentioned an injury)
probably it's the combination of the material + small diameter + very short length + shape... stay safe
