Yesterday january 4th, light overall bodywork.

Grippers 50%, greasing my groove again.

5 x 3 level 9/10 Vulcan

IM#2 (filed) 5 x 1 explosive CCS with overcrush.

Friday 70% session.

This week my overall body strength is low, to say the least. Last week I did some more heavy work. Maybe that's why. But I listen to my body and ease back.

I'll have to with pressing movements because of my left shoulder. I'll have to take care of that first and take it slow. No hurry, no deadlines.

Gripwise, this session went ok, although I've done some easier closes on level 15 with my Vulcan. But that's because above mentioned, this

should be an 70% session and level 15 is a bit above that. But I just want to maintain that level at least.

Gripsession 70%

After warm up:

Vulcan gold spring level 9 1 x 3 speedcloses;

Vulcan gold spring level 15 2 x 1 20 mm block set, closed;

Vulcan gold spring level 12 1 x 8 20 mm block set, all closed;

Vulcan gold spring level 12 1 x 5 20 mm block set, all closed;

IM# 2.5 (filed) 4 x 1 CCS, all closed, this felt quite good, the last one was missed by a hair, but since the gripper is filed, I still count it as a close.

IM# 2 (filed) 5 x 1 TNS, all closed.

IM#1 (filed) 10 x 1 TNS speedcloses.

Was cleaning up my attic, saw my grippers lying there, could not resist haha trying to get comfortable with the CCS, the #3 is much wider, but I'm greasing the groove

with my filed #2.5. Since it was morning, I don't have explosive strength so I do the close slowly and controled. Costs more effort, but I think in the end that works

combined with explosive MMS work on my Vulcan. I can easily close the #2.5 every time of day, so that's good. I don't think it would be beneficial to file the handle any

further, I wouldn't be able to get fingers in any further. Anyone on that?

Nice long hold on the close buddy.

Thnx Cesare, it wasn't ment to be a long hold or something, I just felt like videotaping it, I can hold it much longer actually, I going to incorporate the CCS now in my Vulcan training. since I trained yesterday evening, this was a good close. When I'm fresh, I think I can CCS level 14 with my Vulcan. Level 15 is another story. Coming week I will do two 50% sessions again and one 70%, in which I hope to do some level 16 closes deep set again, after that one week only 50% and than another CCS attempt on my #3.

Very enthusiastic with grip at this moment, but I can only train effective every other day the most, I noticed. Picked up my #3 and try to CCS that, no mentioning any further :angry2:

But I know, Friday 70%, yesterday gripperwork and than today again: no-go for me. Did some rep work with my Vulcan levels 7, 8 en 9. Wednesday a 50% session again, friday

70%.

Was bored, and tried to do some pinch work today, I will post the vids later but Youtube upload seems to be down.

I have a wooden pinch block, which measures 6 cm (2.36 inch). I first lifted 89 kg's, and immediatly teared my thumbwebbing. Got my camera

and filmed and build up in weight again:

2 hp Pinchblock 2.36 inch (6 cm)

1 x 85 kg (187,40 lbs);

1 x 87,5 kg (192,90 lbs)

1 x 90 kg, got some air under it, but no lift.

Don't have a clue if this is good at this pinch thickness? I have done this two times earlier before and that was beginning of this year. I thnk 95 kg's should be a good

target to reach with this, but I still keep the grippers at the first place.

I have only recently started to train pinch but from watching vids on youtube, 193 lbs at 2.36 inches sounds great. Good job. My pinch is much weaker than my crush.

Thnx Parris, that looks very cool! I will certainly keep this one in mind. I have thumbscrews btw from David Horne, they are a great supplement to the training, although

I don't use them to the fullest, but I think those things can really pull off some results! Again, thanks for the idea.

Tonight a good session.

Squats, bench and pullups to get the blood flowing.

Grip:

After warmup with IM#1 (filed)

Vulcan level 9 2 x 3 speedreps;

Vulcan level 12 1 x 1 20 mm block set;

MM2 replica from choker, explosive close pretty easily;

Vulcan level 15 1 x 1 MMS;

After that MM2 replica MMS with short overcrush, felt good! Decided after the level 15 close (felt strong) to try and film the attempt,

it's quite dark but you can see it's the MM2 replica.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKqyD2tNsw0

IM#3 MMS: easy! decided to film it again.

IM#3 MMS with baby reps (1 or 2, but for training it's ok)

Decided no to pull it to the fullest,

Vulcan level 12 1 x 5 speedreps;

Vulcan level 9 1 x 5 speedreps;

IM#2.5 (filed) 1 x CCS;

IM#2 (filed) 1 x 3 TNS;

That's it. for tonight, felt good! Now to break it down again and go a few levels lower, dynamic effort works great for me.

Next up will be level 16 block set and 17 with the Vulcan as short term goal the coming weeks.

Yesterday evening greasing the groove with 50% intensity.

Not much to tell really. Boring Vulcan stuff, up to level 9. whooooo :ph34r:

Besides that, upperbody work in the precinct. Had a talk with a fellow, some chit chatting.

Lost my training rythm with that. Decided to call it a day.

Yesterday morning overall body work. (free day from work) Felt not very strong, so decided to do the grip part this morning.

Which I did.

Grip:

Vulcan level 3 : TNS 1 x 5

IM#1 (filed) : TNS 1 x 5 speedcloses HIGH intensity

IM#2 (filed) : 1 x 1 as powerful as possible, grinded the handles

IM#3.5 : 2 x 1 MMS attempt 1, no close, forced shut and held almost shut for 5 full seconds, HIGH intensity

IM#3 : 1 x 1 MMS closed and held closed, only most force went into the #3.5

Vulcan level 9 : MMS 2 x 3 speedcloses

IM#2.5 (filed) : MMS 1 x 3 speedcloses

Vulcan TNS's up to level 9, last level is getting difficult, I hope to work to a no set at level 12 soon!

IM#1 (filed) TNS's speedcloses.

Tonight 50%.

IM#2 filed, 5 x 3 speedreps, combined with Vulcan level 9 speedreps.

Ended with IM#1 filed full reps x 25

Together with light bench and a lot of abs. Lots of reps, completely wasted arms....

Nothing exciting. Wonder if someone cares to read this boring log :sleeping: :sleeping: :sleeping: :sleeping: :sleeping: but hey I stick to the plan :chris:
