Sean Dockery
Kinda takin it easy again today. Horsed around with Rick's 47.5 hex. Tried a couple overhand tosses, laps around body, etc. Building this polebarn has fried my wrists. LOTS of hammering happening all day long. I hope my lever strength shoots up after all this punishment.

Sean Dockery
Nothing structured today. Just a couple of cold 50 Blob dl's to fight off the neural dumbness. That 55 hex dl is bothering me. So is the nice long Blob Farmer's. Hammerhead gave me a good idea. Double Blob clean and press. I think that one counts as mastery. So there are my current training goals. I'm not sure what training will look like for the next month or two. Got traveling on the calendar, and the polebarn really cuts into recovery ability. But boy that 55 hex is itching....Every time I walk past the shed I hear it. Calling me. Worse than my stones. My hands itch for it. Wacky isn't it? Sean Dockery
I've still got some ache in my hands in certain postions. Taking some time to concentrate on hand therapy, in the hopes that i can ward off tendonitis, etc. 50 Blob+3 5 attempts Broke off floor each time. Not more than 2" from floor at it's highest. Sean Dockery
Thanks Eric! Keepin it up is the general idea! At work today, I moved about 100 flagstones. Pinched each one and carried them like a famer's. I'd guess they weighed anywhere from 30-60 pounds a piece. Hands feel tired, but not fried. I don't want to push as today is the first day my hands have felt really good in the past couple weeks. So I'm skipping Blobs.....
Sean Dockery
Gave the 55 hex a couple shots today. Knee height lefty, just above ankle righty. I think next week I'll start ramping up the volume again.

Sean Dockery
No training today. Outside of right wrist had been bugging me. Want to get that pain cleared up before I push any further. Therefore, concentrated on hand health and recovery today. May even take the next couple weeks off.
Sean Dockery
The last several days have looked like this: 1 50 Blob dl with each hand to remind myself that I can do it. Reverse Curls Light sledge rotations Extensor work Dexterity Balls Hot Soak. I am going to continue this program til July 30 then hit the training hard again. Sean Dockery
Still chugging away as above. My hands/wrists are feeling MUCH better. And I have to remind myself everyday not to go heavier.
HAMMERHEAD
Glad to hear your hands are doin' better. I've made similar mistakes. Progressing real fast and ending up with pain. -HH
Sean Dockery
I think lots of guys make that mistake. Hopefully fewer will now that my mistake is published.
Sean Dockery
I'm going out of town for the week. A little time away to celebrate our first anniversary.... Gonna take a couple blobs and my small sledge. I'll prolly work with them some in an effort to get ready for a full return to training next week. Sean Dockery
Ok! First day back on the wagon! AM 42.5 Blob Clean 5x1 each hand (need to work on controling descent) 42.5 Overhand Blob toss 5 sets 20 total passes Board Wrist Holds 2.5lbs 5x10sec (on these I've got a piece of 2x12 that is about 30 inches long. I place the plate on the far end from my hand and try to hold the board at the mid point of a plate curl.) Reverse Curls 50lbs 3x10 (I'm using my 2" thickbar.) Sledge rotations 3x10 no additional weight (side to side rotations with a piece of 2" OD pipe 24" long) Extensor 1xfailure per hand (in bucket of sand) PM Grippers (all no set, and both L and R hands) 1x5 #1 2x1 #2 5x1 filed #2 Bending Terribly weak today. Didn't even kink my warmup TT! Felt a lot of strain on the inside of my left elbow. I think my elbow tendons may not be totally recoverd from the adventure last month. I will concentrate on leverage lifting to rehab and prehab my tendons to hit the bending again. Extensors repeat of AM Hand health exercises, dexterity balls, and hot soak are on the menu for this evening.
