I'm getting much better at parallel setting. I was about 1/4" away from closing the #2.5 and BBSM. I really need to get some better 10lb plates because they are all the skin off my fingers because they are so sharp. I was really pleased by how easily I was able to hub lift my 45s. I'm going to try 52.5lbs next workout. I'm suprised at how easy levering the 6lb hammer feels now (considering I couldn't fully lever it a month ago). I may get an 8lb hammer soon.

Thanks. Yes I can TNS a #2 and hopefully I'll be able to say the same about the #2.5 sometime this year.

My left elbow is still kinda screwed up so I won't be bending anytime soon. I'm just hoping that my left hand hasn't regressed too much.

I wasn't playing around this workout. I think I've finally learned how to properly set a gripper. Something convinced me to try the #2.5. I almost couldn't believe it when I got the handles to touch. I guess I wasn't satisfied with that so I tried the BBSM and got those handles to touch also. When I get more consistent with closing both grippers I'll either get a #3 or start training my CCS closes again. I thought for a second that I would be able to fully deadlift my 10s, but it wasn't meant to be (tonight). Today was the first day I was able to get any air under the 35s. My hub lifting felt strong today. I might have to go for 57.5 next workout.

I used a 45 and 2-5s to do the hub lift. I can only hub lift about 40-45 on the IM hub.

Good job, learning to to set properly will bring faster gains on grippers.

I used a 45 and 2-5s to do the hub lift. I can only hub lift about 40-45 on the IM hub.

Thanks, just curious. As you may have seen, 47 (including pin+device) was the winning lift on the IM hub at the TPS meet, so I'd say you're doing OK :D

I was able to close my #2.5 and BBSM again today from a parallel set. I attempted my HG300 and I was about 1/2" from closing it. I'm thinking it will get closed in less than a month. Once I close the HG300 I'll make an attempt to close the #3.

I suprised myself by being able to rep the #2.5 twice. I'm actually starting to feel quite comfortable doing a parallel set. I purchased some more 10s with the hope of being able to fully lift 5 of them. The plates fit together better but they still don't fit. I decided to make some short term goals that I hope to accomplish by 1 May 08:

-#2.5x5 (MMS)

-BBSMx3 (MMS)

-HG300x1 (MMS)

-hub lift 55lbs consistently

-pinch 5-10s

Yep, the plates being used are everything when it comes to five 10s. I was lifting the Blob easily while being unable to do five of my 10s because of the poor fit, but then I got ahold of some nice flat plates and they went up easily.

I was hoping to get a #2.5 close on video but I think I broke my camcorder when I accidently knocked it off the tripod. Oh well. I almost got my #2.5 for 3 reps. I did every rep with a nice pause after the set and a 2 sec overcrush.

For some reason my elbow didn't hurt too bad today so I decided to try some bending. Since I haven't bent in a while my wrists felt amazingly weak. I was still able to do some decent bends though. I'm hoping my elbow stops hurting completely so I can try bending again next week. I may bend a bastard this year after all.
