Griparn
Hey Kevin, how are you doing, any new progress on the crushing strength?
nockowt1
Hey Kevin, how are you doing, any new progress on the crushing strength? My shift changed at work so I've been getting my body used to that. I haven't done any workouts this week. I'll probably start doing workouts again this weekend. matthcarl
Nice DU. 5 degrees is about five more than I can get out of a 5/16" G2.
nockowt1
Nice DU. 5 degrees is about five more than I can get out of a 5/16" G2. Thanks Matt. I really thought I was going to be able to bend that bolt. With all of the bolts I've bent so far I've been able to bend 5.5" bolts easier than 6" bolts. Maybe I'll try a 5.5" grade 8 and big grade 2.

nockowt1
Plate Pinch -2 25s x 10 -4 10s x 5 -5 10s x 0 (almost to lock out) Bending (DU) -6" grade 5 x 3 I was really pleased with my plate pinching today. Almost locking out 5 10s is a big pr for me. The only thing keeping me from locking it out was that I tore about 3/4" of skin on my thumb. Once the skin tore I couldn't hold on any longer. At least now I know I have the strength to do it. Once my thumb heals I'll get a full lift on video.

I've had that happen to me a few times when I was close to a PR wide pinch; what is really frustrating is that as the skin rips it causes whatever you're pinching to shift and generally you will drop it as a result. Looking forward to the video. Dave Thornton gave me the tip to use Superglue at Gripmas; it is a good quick fix.

nockowt1
This attempt hurt a lot because I have a patch of skin missing on the inside of my thumb. I thought taping it would help, but it didn't. If if I can exercise the patience to let some of the skin grow back I'll be able to do this with no problem. nockowt1
6/11 Plate Pinch -3 10s x 2 -4 10s x 2 -5 10s x 1 PR I was expecting this lift to be a little harder. Now I need to work on doing it with my left hand. Once I do that I'm not sure what my next goal will be.

nockowt1
6/23 After today's workout I've convinced myself that I'll get 6 10s in a month (or less). I'll need to get another 10 because the extra I have is super wide. Wish me luck.

nockowt1
6/30 Plate Pinch -Warmups with 3 10s and 4 10s -6 10s x 5 (about 2" of air) -5 10s x 5 Today was my first time trying 6 10s. I'm actually pleased that I got some air. One thing that does worry me is that I'm running out of skin to lose on my fingers. I'm not going to let that stop me from reaching my goal by the end of July (this may be very wishful thinking).

nockowt1
I received some brass that I ordered Thursday. I had never bent brass before so I decided to give it a try. I was able to bend the 5/16"x7" piece (du) without much difficulty. That matches the thickest piece of metal that I've bent (it may not be the strongest). I decided to attempt the 3/8"x7" piece and while trying to exert some force the cut on my finger opened up and I was squirted in the eye with blood. I actually thought that was kinda funny.
