DuTCH
cool buddy!! that is great, before you know it, you'll be hitting heavier weights and doing those with an Elite!! What do you use for a strap? Shoelace? oh, btw, don't go overboard with them Strapholds, do them twice a week or so. Otherwise you won't gain from them anymore.
Geo
Thanks Dutch, you the man! Im using a lifting strap at the mo. Maybe I could try something a little thinner in material. A Shoelace would be a bit thinner I suppose. Thanks for the advice I will take heed.

Geo
Had a bit too much sun out on site on Friday and am suffering a bit today for it. 5 Elite attempts 5 RB300 attempts Bought a steel rule for doing strap holds with. Its probably half the thickness of a lifting strap - so much harder. I will test drive it on tuesday.
Geo
Good PR today! Closed my three for the first time left handed! Woo Hoo! Its taken its time to catch up but my second attempt today with the left hand got it. I used the steel rule for my strap holds today. It is harder than lifting straps as its about half the thickness. The steel rule I bought unfortunately had a non slip foam backing So I removed the foam from the top inch of the rule so that the steel was exposed on both sides. Its slippery and unforgiving compared to a fabric lifting strap but better for training with. Today was really trying to get a feel for what I could do with the rule so I know where I stand for future training puposes. These are all right hand. 1kg - held for 5 seconds - felt too easy 3kg - Miss - too ambitious! 2kg miss - arg! 1.5kg broke it off the ground 1 kg - held for 10 seconds I attached a chain to the rule (to put the weights on) and this is quite long so probably weighs a little as well. Did five attempts with left hand.On four of the five attempts where super close (1mm) The second one I got it closed. Elite attempt with a hold and slow release. 2 sets RB300 attempt with a hold and slow release. 2 sets #4 neg 1 good go at it.

Geo
Elite attempts x 2 very close - 2mm away RB300 2 attempts getting closer. Strapholds using lifting strap - bad idea. 2kg - broke off ground 1.5kg miss RB240 no set attempt - miss RB330 negs x3 These strap holds are what I needed. They are having a real positive effect on my grip strength! Edited May 16, 2006 by Geo
Geo
saturday Hands felt a bit weak. Did a bit of an odd workout.
