Get Strong Week 2

 

WD2 orange spring 4 reps  1 set each level to 3-3 then 3x3  each hand   elbows didn't like high volume last week

 

Levering 14lbs" 

26"x3x5 sets each hand

 

DO Suades

2 7"x3/16  4 seconds

1 5.5x3/16 5 seconds

my memory can be bad in morning as i'm thinking about my work for the day.  I might have done a 5" one too that was easy

 

Reverse

2 60ds IMP2f no rubber bands   18 seconds and 23 seconds  no bands does make it a little harder

ISO 60d shiny in suades 3x7 seconds each hand.. ALL i can do is kink these these things..  But now i'm doing isos on this instead of G5's.. i will be  crushing them in a  couple months

 

100k 60d rated by David Horne in suedes, 14seconds snapped in 3mins 18 seconds... Could have done faster if i was in jeans and used my body for assistance.  I think the secret to snapping is shorter but hard hits to keep the steel hot.  When i'm forging and cutting a piece of steel, its heated up to 2000 degrees but the same logic applies I would think.

wish i used IMPS to make it harder but I use the suedes as the standard.

beer and bbq now. Going to  see my buddys band tonight. He played with Mark Wahlberg and the Funky Bunch way back in the day... hes got some stories.

Working at my brothers today.Messed around with the dumbbells I gave him a few years back. I curled 50lbs. Not super clean and not sure if that’s even good weight but I could hardly do 30lbs last time I touched them. Super setted with neutral grip pull-ups.

Nice work dude a 50lbs dumbbell is pretty strong

Thanks. I was happy to see that. They where not strict, but I don't think i'd be too much work to clean up form.

decided to add rows in with NN

some extensor bands, thumbscrews and sidetwister

Really like this whole trying to gain weigh thing. For supper last night I had two 1/3 cheese burgers, half a fish sandwhihc and bowl of chilli. 

Its always been hard to gauge  how much i should eat everyday because some days i work very hard, like yesterday some days white collars work harder than me.

I am a big fan of the concept 2 rower, but for bending I am a HUGE fan of the SkiErg, especially for snapping endurance.

Yeah I can totally see how that would have some carry over. I'd like to try one out sometime, maybe buy one.

 

I really recommend rowing to everyone if you hate running like i do. Or even the SkiErg. Concept 2 makes great stuff.

I might have but i really forget. Me and my sister in law where going to have some friendly competition but my brother got her prego and I forgot all about it. 

I need to look into that. I know my times aren't anything special but i'm also not killing myself when i'm on it.  I think I could get my 6000m down to 27 minutes or so if I tried.  

Do you use one a lot? I'm going to keep my eyes open for a Skierg.

I used to use a SkiErg frequently, 4x a week. My sessions varied between something like a high intensity session (like 20x1 minute hard 1 minute rest) and long sessions (like 8x1k 4 min rest). It all varied. I would definitely look into the technique a lot more for a RowErg. I have no clue how great your form is, but I know the form for any ERG actually gets complex. That's why they have seminars for it. I like the logbook and app, it's good stuff.

Yes I should and will now that you mention it.  I've never recorded myself to check my form,  i've made sure to drive with my legs... Never had any back pains or anything more than a little bit of DOMS so I always assumed I was doing it properly.

i'm pretty tired now. I really suck at DO. Just doesn't feel natural.. Reverse has always felt natural to me.  But i'll get it.
