Short forearms/wrist and elbow recovery

- 4x2 12.5kg/27.6lb ulnar deviation rolls with Twist yo Wrist
- 4x2 12.5kg/27.6lb radial deviation rolls with Twist yo Wrist
- 4x30 wrist curls with bands
- 4x30 reverse wrist curls with bands

Right thumb improving, but I won't do any fat bar/pinch/grippers this weak. Later I will do contrast baths.

Btw forearms looked like a fat Lock Ness monster after all those curls🙃

You should have measured them.  Probably as big as my bicep.

Yeah they are huge.

- 3x2 56kg/123lb
- 3x3 51kg/112lb
- 3x4 46kg/101lb

I dropped 10kg instead of 5kg here, getting tired
- 3x5 36kg/79lb

- 3x8 136kg/300lb

Some push
- 10x16 20kg weighted pushups with pushup stands
- 5x16 adjustable armbar on max resistance

I really gave my thumb a break this week (no grippers, no thick bar, no pinch). Next week I'll try blobs and grippers. Not thick bar, though.

+ I planned next week's DU/reverse bending session, and got the steel ready:

Bending
I'm still sore, so I had to do less than I wanted.

Reverse - single leathers
- Grade 4.8 bolt 8mm x 7"
Part of the warmup. Also did (1-1) .. (6-6) levels on the WD2 with the orange spring.
- Stainless bolt 8mm x 6" - 2 hits, 45 degrees
This was the main reverse, I didn't want to go crazy today. Focus was on DU.
- Grade 8 1/4" x 6" - 2 hits, 44 degrees
490lb batch.
- Drill rod (SK95) 7.5mm x 7" - 4 hits, 48 degrees
Getting tired, even this was hard.
- 35CroMo(A) 7mm x 6" - 5 hits, 46 degrees
Last bend of the session, too tired. Not much left in the tank.

DU - doubles of suedes and leathers
- CRS 9mm x 7" - infinite hits, 42 degrees
I think this was the first time I could bend a 9mm bar from this seller. But it took like 25 minutes with multiple breaks... This was the hardest thing I've ever DUd, even if it took much more time than 5 mins. Good practice/workout. Look how fat is this guy next to the other bars😄
- C45 (A) 8mm x 7.5" - 2 hits, 46 degrees
I expected this to be much harder, especially after the 9mm CRS misery. This suede + leather combo might work better than double leathers, because the layers stay in their place. And I find this to be more important than stiffness.

DU - single leathers
- Drill rod (SK95) 7.2mm x 7"
Part of the warmup.
- CRS 21/64" x 7" - 1 hit, 42 degrees
- Stainless bolt 8mm x 6" - 1 hit, 67 degrees

I wanted to buy magnetic microplates for blobbin, but the shipping fee for PlateMate would be waay too much. So I just bought two N52 neodymium magnets for ~11$ a piece. I can use my plates easily, this magnet is huge overkill (1.25kg per side on the picture), but I might buy a few 0.5lbs HRS steel disks from my steel supplier so I can really microload.

I just have to be careful with these because if they stick together without anything between them, it's honestly hard to separate them. 😅

In my opinion, neutral grip pullups are a great supplementary exercise for reverse bending. Won't help with the wrist part, but strengthens the brachioradialis tremendously (+ brachialis, biceps, lats, etc. of course).

Yea, it's my way to become stronger. I'm not particularly talented in bending, so I brute force it with volume and tenaciousness😂

Thanks Joe! I don't do manual labor like you, London, or John, and that honestly makes a huge difference. My body is not taxed after work at all. Also I eat a lot 😄

Yeah that makes a huge difference. I think manual labor helps a lot initially in the beginning but in the long run slows things down, unless diet and recovery are very dialed in.

Still no excuse on my end. And if you did do that kind of work you would still be an animal.

I'd love to see your full day of eating, I have to eat an ungodly amount of food with the work I do

Yeah I can imagine.

I have a high-protein and high-fat diet. But I don't follow any specific diets (like carnivore, keto, paleo, whatever).
I eat all kinds of meat (mainly venison for a while now). I think recently, around 1.7-2 pounds of meat per day.
Also I love canned fish, sardines or mackerels

Canned sardines are the best man. Especially the ones with mustard packed into it.

Sardines are also great because they have 0 mercury, unlike other fish

Canned sardines is such a guy thing. I bet your wife also complains about the smell when you open one 😄
(btw the Japanese mackerel I get here also has a very low mercury content)

I did some blobbin' because I judged my right thumb is ready for it (I haven't done any pinching, thick bar, grippers for two weeks). Skipped the "squeezing phase" I did in the past month because that's very hard on the thumbs.

RH
- 12x1 KWN50 (50.5lb/22.9kg) assisted lifts
LH
- 5x1 weighted KWN40 (44.8lb/20.3kg) lifts
- 7x1 KWN50 (50.5lb/22.9kg) assisted lifts

Thumb feels much better, but far from perfect. But it seems like blobs are ok.
