matek
60mm pinch block (GoG) RH - 1x2 33.3kg/73.4lbs - 1x1 35.9kg/79.1lbs - 1x1 37.2kg/82lbs - 3x1 38.4kg/84.7lbs - no lifts Came off the floor all three times, but couldn't finish the lockout. The last set was the best, but maybe I should've done 82lbs for 4 sets. LH - 1x2 33.3kg/73.4lbs - 5x1 35.9kg/79.1lbs Only one fail (the last), this is definitely an improvement with LH. Blobs RH: - 7x1 KWN50 (50.5lb/22.9kg) assisted lift Minimal assist, now I'm only touching the side of the blob with my non-lifting hand (and not all the way through the lift). LH: - 7x1 KWN50 (50.5lb/22.9kg) assisted lift Obviously much more assist than with RH. + did 5x6 26kg/57lbs neck extensions between the blob sets, and 2 blob face lifts with the KWN40 RH Btw I did grippers yesterday so crush is tired, but I was curious how is my grip today, so I squeezed the GD DYNO-150 before starting the workout. RH was 104.7kg, and LH was 98.6kg today.

You also don’t get to experience the tilt you do with a blob but I’m excited to start using it.

matek
Order was different (generally DU -> reverse). DU bending - double leathers - C45 8mm x 7.5" - 52 degrees This was the main DU bend for today. I'm really glad I didn't fail this. C45 is brutal as always, took about 2 mins (because of breaks). - Konoe nail ~8.7mm x 7.5" - 55 degrees The head and end are cut down. DU bending - single leathers - C45 HEX 7mm x 6.5" - 49 degrees This was soul-sucking after the doubles. - DR SK95 7.4mm x 6.7" (hard batch) - 63 degrees - DR SK95 7.5mm "M" x 6" - 83 degrees Reverse bending - single leathers - DR SK95 7.3mm "L" x 7" - 42 degrees The main reverse bend. Under a minute, but hard. - DR SK95 7.2mm x 7" - 44 degrees - 3x Annealed 35CrMo 7mm x 7" - 51, 44, 45 degrees - 2x Stainless 304 7mm x 7" - 55, 42 degrees Btw I decided to do reverse with LH front only. I'm not switching hands between hits, etc. Hard bars with RH front hurt my thumb MCP joint too much. And even if I ignore pain, this negatively affects my RH gripper progress (my dominant hand). So I think this is for the best, but of course, this means LH is trashed. Edited April 11, 2023 by matek
Stephen Ruby
Killer workout well done I noticed something similar with bending hurting my gripper luckily I'm strong with LH in front anyways. 2

I'm sure it does... Both bending and grippers require exerting a tremendous amount of pressure on the hands, wrists and elbows. I def couldn't seriously train both at the same time. Nice session today. Take it easy on the thumb.. I remember you talking about it in the past.. Is this something permanent or just something thats lingering?

Thanks! I think I'm also stronger with LH front. But maybe only because RH front hurts much more. Either way, it's a shame because switching the front hand can be beneficial. 8 hours ago, Blacksmith513 said: I'm sure it does... Take it easy on the thumb.. I remember you talking about it in the past.. Is this something permanent or just something thats lingering? You can, just have to accept that it's suboptimal. But I'm trying to "optimize" this suboptimal. Thanks! When I started grippers last year and basically only did grippers for 3-4 months (besides normal gym work), I had problems with it, but it went away when I stopped focusing on grippers. Now, if I don't do heavy reverse/WD2 with RH front it's nonexistent. If I do the problem disappears within a week or two, but badly influences gripper workouts. Recently I do two gripper sessions per week, and it never hurts just from grippers with this routine. So I think it makes sense to limit reverse bending to LH front and just eliminate the source of the problem. I mean it still affects gripper progress with LH, but it doesn't hurt nearly as much and I don't care too much about LH gripper progress. matek
Weighted pushups with pushup stands - 20kg/44lbs weight vest - 5x16 - 5x14 - 5x12 Still a good exercise. Failed to lock out the last two reps (15th set), so perfect set/rep choice. Chest arm bar crush, max resistance - 8x14 Relatively short rest periods with this one. Neck extensions, 22.5.kg/50lbs - 5x10 I didn't want to go to the gym today, so I just worked out at home. I've been neglecting chest lately because I feel like shoulders are more important for DU. But nice chest pump, been a while since I felt this.

Is the chest arm bar the thing similar to chest Krusher?

Two problems with it 1. the max resistance is not that high to begin with, at least not for me 2. the spring gets weak fast, like in a few months

I’ve been stuck on 4 springs for a long time, but I’m getting there. If I go heavy on it takes a few days to recover.
