High reps may have to wait on that #4, unless I cheat it shut on my leg a thousand times in a row :tongue.

Felt lazy and went to the gym today (first time going there in months). Hit a big personal best in the deadlift (squats sucked, haven't used a barbell on my shoulders for months); going to attempt build up to 500 lbs over the course of the next couple of months.

Deadlift: 440x1 (built up to this over a few warm ups)....315x2/2/2 (dropped the weight to something I could handle)

Standing Crunches on pulldown machine: 4x5 - 120 lbs

Leg Raises: 3x3.

Thanks man! I've never done any real deadlift routine, it has always been with a weight a I can handle

Power to the People is where I learned how to deadlift (just have to cut through all the b.s. Pavel talks about and get to the core matter of the book, than you have something), but the Cube Method is something I'm thinking about starting that could help me out.

I'm waiting for a trapbar I ordered, maybe trying 531 with it, lower weight with Fatgripz added, higher weight normal lifts.

Just cheating that Level 9 down to the closed position is crazy and doesn't want to give in.

Each set was done for 5 mms reps, as for time, it could be 90 seconds, or just when I felt good. The total time for just the gripper was maybe 30-45 minutes.

Kind of a crazy routine... Don't burn out your hands, remember grip training is a huge balancing act. Make sure you're getting the extensors with some thin pinch... Dexterity balls.. Sledge pronation/supination.. I'm sure you know this just already. Killer grip workout though

Also, this training for King Kong is only for the next couple of weeks is, cutting out grippers but for only 2 days a week so I can focus on these lifts; the training is based on what I did for the MM3, very experimental but yielded great results. After the contest I'm switching back to what I was doing for training grippers.

Good work John, what class you think you'll pull in. If I go I wanna cut to 83kg and perhaps take on adam glass. I've dropped 14 lbs and never felt stronger.

Thanks. Last I check, I'm only a few pounds off from 93 kg class.
