KB work

did 55 snatches lefty and righty with a 35 lbs which means im at RANK III level if I get this on tape

along with a two 35LBS Jerk for 55, KB biathlon cert

and send it over to the KB association for my weight class at this time about 165 lbs

Now if I could handle a 7o pounder this way that would be a MASTER OF SPORTS !

worked on all the way up to the front Lat movements along with lat sides movements

12 pounders to 30 pounders focusing on form,

2" axle in power rack

worked up to

295 lbs for a few inches, nothing special, I think when totally recovered the 305 double overhand will happen

will try to focus more on KB s for now, there will be a world championship in Chicago august 2010 and I would like to handle a 53 pounder in the comp for my weight class!

thanks Ben, if I train KBS two to three times a week, i think I can get the 53 lbs biathlon requirements by August, and the KB comp is in my hometown so Ill have to enter now

New running shoes, might have been a bad idea, I ran 4 miles in about 29 min, but my left foot felt like someone dropped a hammer on it! ouch, goal is to eventually run 26 miles !

But so far I maxed out at 13 - 14 of medium pace running that was last year, and everytime I start training hard for it something seems to go wrong, need to slow down a bit...

left hand worked upto 160 lbs

right hand got 173 PR! and came close on 178

then pulled axle double overhand

173 x5

223 x 1, 1, 1,

263 x1

283 x1

293 xmiss, miss, ahh so close almost locked out, miss

303 x a few ", a few"

the goal for now is still 305 LB's on this lift

pullups x 8, 9, 8

pullups +53KB x 2, 2, 2

then attempted a pullup with 70KB came close about 4 times, but didnt get the chin high enough

Chest worked inlcine regular and decline with 40s and 50s dumbell's

Blobs , Saturday

- extensor work..

really chalked up my YORK #50

and did 5 negatives each hand, really trying to hold onto it with everything I had before the BLob fell down,

then used the board 45 degree angle technique that David Horne used to lift his BLOB, bascially just pulling the BLOb

up the board as high as you can and trying to lift it up, the more of an angle you get on the board the tougher its gets

in the evening

did 20 attempts / lifts with my 42.5 Blob

and a few negatives on the BLOB50, hands felt trashed,

then a buddy of mine came over, ive been trying to beat this guy at armwrestling for the past 2 years , he always wins

well today on our second pull I came really close with my Right hand , he won at the end but this is the closest ive gotten ever!!!, need to keep doing my wrist exercises and curls and well see what happens in a few months

Bench press in rack afew " from chest

worked upto a 230 x 1

235 lbs came off but didnt get it, that would have been a PR in the rack.

- reps with 40s on the reg bench x 11. 10, 10, 8

some pullups

#50 attempts coming off about 1" lefty but then

just did about 7 negs each hand

5 negs with the BLOB 50 each hand

finally beat a friend of mine at armwrestling!!! been trying to beat this guys for the past couple of years and couldnt,

today lost left hand 3, but beat him right hand(where it really counts) 3 in a row!

going to celebrate with some wrist curls in the basement!

kinked a st croix forge 1, was planning on doing negatives with this but ended up getting a kink in it

worked upto 161 lbs right hand, missed 166 right hand
