Cool workouts. I did hear some sources saying how walking or running with a weightvest isnt exactly optimal. Just bringing it up. I've thought of it, but..............

Now I dont know exactly what they have against it. It might be joint health, it might be slow twitch related.

Basically, worn for periods over a few minutes, it may take away from your your next back workout, and may start morphing your muscle to slow twitch.

I have kinda followed and learning more about them. I wear weighted vest for 1 leg jumpsquats. Other good uses are like 1 leg hops, addons to kettleball deadlifts and stuff.

I sprint pretty often, but even though I have thought that adding weight may help, it really probably wont. Sprinting with dumbells, kettleballs, or olypic bars isnt good for joints. It does a lot of damage. Damage to wrists, and if not careful, knees, ankles I would think.

ANywho, I've been designing a weighted vest with sand straps with a pack for 2-3 10lb plates on front and back to go over my 22.5 lb weighted vest. The vest is gonna be about 15-20 lbs of sand in the x patterns straps, and fit 3 10lbs plates in front and back comfortably, so a total of about 80 additional lbs. I am pretty much only gonna use this for jumpsquats, so up to 100 lbs. ANything more for 1 leggers, and I'll be pretty worried about my ankles and knee.

ANywho, just figured I'd bring it up to possibly help. That is my intention. To let you know to be careful on a long slow twitch burner, as it may take away from your power in legs, power in back, power in traps, and power in shoulders.

I've been doing farmers walks for atleast 15 years , and ran two marathons in the past without any problems ,

If anything it strengthens your legs and joints if it's done properly, it's also a great way to develop grip.

5/16 x 6 " G2 bolt kinked slightly

5 1/4 " x 1/4" square got it off center to about 2" 1/4"

Tried training grippers yesterday

Hands still feel smoked after a long weekend Bicycle ride

Bending today , highlight was 6" x 3/4 grade 8 bolt got it

Down to 3 " very springy crush down would not go anymore

Isometrics with the red nail

7 " square x 1/4 bent

Finished off with some pull-ups

Bent it to less than 3 " , big PR here

Cut the head of the bolt off on the next bend

Only managed to less than 4 " here

Very impressed with this new grip toy

Started at 50 lbs x 2

Which is what I was going for
