Stupid Log?

I injuried my left hand/wrist about a month ago or something. It happened when I toyed with a 11kg dumbell.

Couldn't help but smile after reading that at first glance... someone who lifts the weights you lift, "when I toyed with a 11kg dumbell".. damn! I hope you get better soon!!!

Hahaha, I know! Thanks, so do I.

Sorry to hear this. Heal up fast, Martin!

I'll do my best, thanks dude!

Do you still follow this program?

Monday: Grippers, two hand pinch, maybe some dynamic thumbtraining.

Tuesday: V-bar, different wrist exercises.

Friday: Grippers, thickbar, 1hdl deadlift.

I was thinking about doing thickbar on tuesday with v-bar and some bending on tuesday as well

Also could you tell me why you use a thumbless grip on the RT? Is that better? Also do you use the RT for the 1hdl deadlift?

I was thinking about doing something like yourself

Monday: Grippers, Two handed pinch with some dynamic thumbtraining

Tuesday: V-Bar, RT and some bending/levering

Friday: Grippers, Thickbar and RT

What do you think of that? Pro's and cons if you could.. Also great log I've read all of your posts and I have to say it very interesting

Yo! Many questions, you have, my dear Padawan (wtf?).

I haven't trained grip for a couple of month now, because of my injury.

I trained thumbless RT because it was an event at the European Championship last year. Otherwise I always use my thumb.

Your program looks good. If you just recover enough between each training session, it should work good. But you might have to do some experimenting with how many sets you can manage.

After I read on Ironmind the other day that Magnus Samuelsson was doing "light" deadlifts while his lower back recovers, and started doing 100kg x 100 reps, and then moved on to 200kg x 100 reps... I've lost motivation to deadlift :tongue

Great job bud!!

Hehe, I don't believe he did 100 reps at 200 kg in one set, but divided on a couple of sets is more believable.

Anyways... I tried some 2HP last saturday, and there was no improvement. I don't have any power in my left hand. Well I don't have any problems with my other fingers, just the index finger and wrist.

Tried some RT and 2HP, went better then last time.

RT: A couple of reps at 60 kg with my left.

2HP: Did 80kg without any bigger problems.

I'm better, but not fully recovered. My left is weaker then my right.

Dumbellpress:

1x20 @ 11 kg

1x8 @ 32 kg

1x8 @ 44 kg

1x5 @ 52 kg

1x3+1 @ 62 kg PR!

Yeeeee

Thickbar bent over rows @ 100 kg.

And some deadlift singles and reps at 130 kg.

I also did some 1hp, dumbell curls, pushdowns and lateral rises.

I couldn't even lift 70 kg at my thickbar before it started to hurt before.

1x3+1 @ 62 kg PR!

Please don't tell me that those are strict presses. :blink

Or is that on a bench?

What kind of thickbar you're training on? A dumbbell? Which diameter?

One or two handed? Do You do OHDLs with an Axle? That would be cool. I was always wondering if it would be a good contest exercise.

Two handed! Haven't really tried ohdl with my thickbar.

I wanna pee on you too.

I injuried my left wrist again today! It happened when I bent a short piece of steel for a class mate. Guess it's only a little strain. ;)

Tired after squatting ;)

I also did some SLDL standing at a box and calf presses.

Also did some grippers (no pain!) Don't remember the sets and reps. The top sets on #3 was 10 reps LH and 12 RH.

Looks like I will be stepping up my griptraining again, and hopefully to stay injury free for a while (my left wrist is still not recovered, but I can train without pain).

Yo! Guess it was some kind of comeback training today. Trained 2HP, TTK and levering today.

2HP: 5x3 @ 90 kg - Didn't hurt. And wasn't hard :)
