FrankyBoy
Thank you so much Paul. I highly appreciate your kind words. I guess the variety results from my high participation level in grip contests. In October 2004 I did my first grip contest, the germans. In November 2005 I will already compete in my 7th contest, the COC contest of David Horne. So I competed at least every two months in average. So I'm permantly enforced to train especially my weak areas (to perform better overall) which results in a higher all around grip strength. Thanks again. FrankyBoy
I'm still sore from last saturday meeting with Flo and Martin. Again we did much too much. I guess I will do an easy training today, probably the Axle DL lockouts. My best feat on saturday was a set with 4 parallel reps (and loud clicks) on my EZ #3 and a 25 secs Straphold with it using 2.5kg afterwards. That was done late in the night after the other training, already sitting in front of the TV. Still can't do DLs or squats, hope that heals in the next 3 weeks. FrankyBoy
10/12/2005 German Contest Events Did a little contest simulation in about 30 minutes. Much too short. Started very good with 4 PRs then I was worn out. Grippers Left: 20sec Straphold with RB210 (16->20) PR Right: 24sec Straphold with BBGM (20->24) PR Pinch on a 70mm wooden block Left: 33kg PR Right: 39.25kg PR A.A. Ran totally out of fuel. Thumbs are still sore from saturdays meeting. Couldn't completely lockout 152.5kg Vbar Stopped at 100,110 (L,R) I guess I need another day rest. Edit: Finished the session with 10x#2 lefty (PR) and 6x#3 righty.

It seems that I have to train more pinch too.
DuTCH
will you not do the RT event?
pdoire
Nice PR's Franky....sure didn't look like sore hands!!!
FrankyBoy
No I won't. I'm the only one who competes at the germans and at Davids contest. Training the RT also would for sure kill a good placement for me at the german grip contest. will you not do the RT event? ←
DuTCH
ooh, yeah, that's true.. That was what i was thinking too. Rt will kill the gripper straphold!

FrankyBoy
10/15/2005 Did a little Pinch and vbar Session. Pinch 33.5kg lefty (PR) 40kg righty (PR) 40kg one hand pinch That 40kg lift is for sure discussable but I still count it as a PR. vbar 110kg left, 120kg right, euro rules. FrankyBoy
10/16/2005 Straphold Rb210 left: 21secs BBGM (av #3) right: 26secs Good news: Both were PRs. Bad news: Both were bad sets, with the left the gripper slipped out of the sweet spot during the set, with the right the pinky slipped off the handle during the hold. It just barely touched the handle at the end. If this happens at the germans Flo will easily kick my butt with his right. With his left he will beat me in any case. burkhardmacht
Today I did some fatbar stuff: 6cm fat DB (righty): 1x55kg 1x60kg 1x65kg (PR) 1x67,5kg (PR) 1x70kg (PR!! ) I think my fatbar volume work finally is paying off!
FrankyBoy
Good job with that 70kg Burki. Yesterday and today I did some gripper work. Got some new PRs: BBSM lefty (actually that was quite easy ) MM1 close with strict set (Flos style): Video Double on the MM1: Video You can't really see the first rep of this double only the last 1/8" is there since I wasn't in the focus during the set. After that I tried the MM2 dud. I failed in closing it, but I was oh so close: Still Shot Crush is on at the moment. Hopefully I can preserve my form til the germans.
