FrankyBoy
Yesterday Started the passive re-mobilisation of the triceps (scar tissue). My girl friend Heike is doing this using a heat pillow. Got my arm from below 90° to about 110° in this session. Of course this is always only temporarily. Need many more session to get my full flexibility back. However, after my 1. surgery it needed about a month to get there. Arm felt that good that I grabbed her RB100 (~T) and did 50 clicks with it. No pain. Good! Today Changed bandages again and made a new pic: Upperarm Looks much better now, most of the visible haematoma are gone. The suture is nearly fully closed now, no inflammation more at all. The swelling has been reduced to 23mm (<1") compared to the right arm. David Horne
Slowly does the rehab, just like me. Cool scar though! David
FrankyBoy
Grippers Lefty: 1xT 1x#1 Righty (No-Set only) Quite the same workout as wednesday. Again, the failed attempts were closer: Missed the HG400 and the BBSM by less than 1/4". The next weeks I'll keep that cycle of 1 day training and 1 day rest for my right. Besides this my left arm got another tough and painful passive mobilization session from my girl.
FrankyBoy
11/27/05 Left 1xT, 1x#1, 1x#BBM No pain but I've to be in a very strange posture to make this. Arm is again a lot better, but its still very painful to actively pull is beyond 90°. Right No-Set Only 1xT 1x#1 1xRB180 (very easy) 1xHG400 PR Video: HG400 0xIM #3 Video: IM #3 0xBBSM (~1/8 already a bit tired due to the long overcrushes/holds in the earlier attempts) 1xHG300 (felt already extreme hard) Video: HG300 Cooldown: 1x9xBBM I only needed 4 workouts to finally close my HG400 which felt almost impossible for me a few weeks ago. Best attempt was like 1/2" or so. My very next goals are my regular SM and my hard RB210. After that I'm shooting for my Tetting Cert GM. Florian Kellersmann
Very good progress, Frank. The CoC certification is coming closer.
FrankyBoy
Thanks Flo, I'm indeed considering of doing the COC cert no-set seeing my latest progress. 11/29/2005 Some good news considering my left: Was at the doc, the stitches were taken out: Before Pic After Pic Then he checked my elbow (esp. the capsule) and everything is fine. Everything whats still wrong now (flexibiltiy of the elbow) is due to haematoma inside the triceps muscle tissue. After that he checked my groins since I already was thinking of a hernia because I still have some trouble. The groins are fine but the adductor is strained. That will take a long time to heal, but still better than a hernia surgery. I guess I will need about 2-4 weeks to fully rehab my triceps. In that time I'll do only little training only some easy grippers from time to time. Training No-Set Righty 1xT 1x#1 1xcert SM 0xSM (2mm, 1/16") 0xhard RB210 (2mm, 1/16") 1xRB180 0xcert BBE (~1/2") 1xHG300 1xRB210 0xhard RB210 (2mm, 1/16") 0-1xHG400 (might be closed, not sure though) 2x1xRB180 All in all a good session. Not a measurable progess in terms of newly closed grippers but I felt strong today. I guess that new scheme of 1 day workout and 1 day rest pays off. jimwylie1
I thought my three inch scar was impressive 'til Franky shamed me by unveiling the scar from his previous surgery the night before the champ of champs contest
FrankyBoy
Yeah Jim. If it comes down to scars you're nowhere close the the big dogs. (Lucky man! ) Today another grippers day: Righty: No-Set only unless otherwise noticed 1xT 1x#1 1x#2 0xhard RB210 (1mm, <1/16") 0xcert GM (3mm, 1/8") 0xSM (1mm, <1/16") 1xRB210 1xRB180 0xHG400 (~2mm, 1/16) 0xIM #4 (paperthin moved from outside) 1x10xBBM With a Set: 1x5xez #3 parallel reps. Just wanted to check my setted crush and its seems to be fully there even though that gripper might be too easy to tell this. But hell, what a pain for my left to set that gripper. So no more setted attempts for my right the next two weeks. Lefty (done before the last #3 set with my right), all with a set 16th day post surgery. 1xT 1x#1 1x2x#2 (PSPR*) Looking good. Mobility is still missing. Sometimes I actively get my left arm beyond the 90° point which is painful but motivating. * = post surgery PR

FrankyBoy
And the ego returns. My girl watched me training so I put some more stress on my left: Bench 20x10kg 50x15kg I'll do those once a week increasing the weight by 5 kg each week. That should be safe enough for the humerus. Grippers 1xT 1x#1 6x#2 1xRB210 Bending Not being able to bend my left elbow, theres no way to bend DO or DU. But hey, theres still the reverse style. 1x6mm nail to 20°. FrankyBoy
Thanks Ben. On saturday I did a little demonstration. Worked with the vbar, the RT, one-hand pinch, sledges, TTK and of course grippers. And I reverse bent a Yellow to 90°. Crush down is a no no with my left arm. Probalby due to that extra session I was off on grippers yesterday. Closed my cert SM but clearly missed the hard RB210 and the reg. SM (1/8" each) so I stopped the session. I'll restart my gripper training either today or tomorrow.
