Workout 6/8/24: Squats:  120kg / 265lb x 10 (PR; +7.5kg from previous cycle) rest 115kg / 254lb x 10 sets of 3 with 1 minute rest between sets (+7.5kg from previous cycle)   Phew, another Candito cycle, another time over the biggest mental and physical hump of the cycle. I had quite a bit of confidence going into this. Not sure why, I just felt strong. This marks a 20kg / 44lb increase in my 10RM in about a year.  The cluster volume is such an interesting beast. The hardest sets by far are sets 3-5. Physically, the cumulative fatigue is hasn't yet plateaued, so each set is still harder than the last, and mentally, you can't even tell yourself that you're halfway done yet. After these, the sets start to plateau and feel similar in difficulty, and you can tell yourself that you are at least going down the mountain. I consistently want to just call it after set 4.  I had to head into work after this (attendings work on Saturdays on the flow cytometry service), so I couldn't do anything else time wise.
