Two grip workouts today. I've been seriously slacking off on my grip workouts. Hit it good and hard today to get things going.

Weak on these. Warm-up, then...

One question: when you do the BFN's, at what point during the negative phase do you force the gripper back shut (how far do you let it open up)?

Usually about 0.5 to 1cm. Sometimes less.

How many times do you do this during one negative? When you write BFN x10 is that one big negative and you forced it shut 10 times?

Yeah, it would be 10 continuous BFNs in a row without resetting. As soon as it opened to the distance I wanted, force it back in again.

504 x 1 - EASY. Thought it was 514. Loaded it wrong. Dang it. Oh well, it was the easiest anything over 500 ever felt.

The other day I loaded a 25lb diff on a DO thickbar lift the total was susposed to be 340 but was 25# less. It felt weird going up and now my wrist is really hurting me. Then when I got the weights right I couldn't pull 340 and I was pissed off.

EXACTLY! It feels really easy on the way up, but you use just enough gas that you can't pull your actual max after that. Ticks me off.

Btw, what's your max bench?

#375, but I haven't maxed out for a wile. I'm currently working a 5x5 program and if all goes well ill be diong 375 for 5 when its all over so we'll see what happens in 20 weeks.

Fantastic Frank! Up up up! I been dead lifting too but no pr's yet haven't tried in a wile either. I've been using my thickbar for all my deads I warm up with DO then do mixed grip. I'm betting it will help me in the end soon hopefully ill be showing something soon in the 550 thread.

Hell yeah Frank!!! I have no doubt that 600 or more will happen this year.

I'm gonna have to get a new bar :D I've been doing all these pulls on my standard bar still.
