Still having a cold just a small workout.

Couple of lifts on the 2" vbar and 5 lifts with the baby inch, that thing is too light.

Lift it with gloves on - at the end of Your fatbar workout and it'll be too heavy pretty soon... :D

Did my first workout after the German Grip Championships today:

DL:

3x100

1x140

6x1x160

Seems to me that I'm still tired after the weekend - too much hanging out with Flo after the comp in Bochums Bermuda Dreieck! :whacked

Finally got rid of that ANNOYING cold.

Yesterday a bench test at home:

5x40kg

5x60kg

5x80kg

5x90kg

5x100kg

5x102.5kg

5x105kg

2x105kg

Every set over 80 felt ugly but I didn't lose too much strength.

My shoulder definately has healed during the two weeks rest, nice.

Thanks Dan! :happy

Wow, I'm sore today in the pecs.

Only 9 days to go to the HGC.

I feel I should do at least 1 or 2 training sessions before the comp but those should be easy ones for sure.

Puh, my back hurts - from doing partial squats with 195kg on my brand new Buffalo bar. And it hurts from sitting too long at Flos latest armwrestling contest. Was happy to get out of the competition hall to walk a bit, putting my InchDB out of the car to see Silvan Bieli (Swiss) give it some serious airtime with and without thumb! Unbelievable...

It was not really a surprise to me, seeing Silvan Bieli lifting the Inch. He already beat guys like Taras Ivakin, Johann Lindholm and Ron Bath and he had good hand and wrist control over Dirk Schenker in my opinion. A very nice guy!

Yes, it was impressive to see him beating Dirk - who lifted the Inch pretty easy in 2006 as You can see here:

Man, I was sooo close in doing DLs also after our phone talk.

I barely couldn't resist ...

So I did some benching :

10x40

10x60

7x80

5x100

4x107.5

My new bar feels a bit heavy :tongue

Then a small test towards the HGC on saturday.

GRIPPERS

Very promising to say at least.

Warmup up to 3xeasy RB210 lefty and 10xez RB210 righty.

Two grippers which normally feel hard for me:

My hard RB210 lefty (which I can close only occasionally) and my ez Elite righty (not sure if I ever closed it with a regular set) went down with clicks or grinds. :yikes

Then I barely missed the GM lefty and the RB330n righty, which are about my maxs on both hands.

Now I'm very confident now for the comp when the adrenalin level is up.

In comps my gripper results always were an indicator for the performance overall so I of course hope for a good entry in the contest.

Next days I'll do some active recovery for my hands and work on a plan for the comp (choose of attempts).

Especially DU bending will be interesting against Martin.

No way to beat him but I need to come as close as possible in that event to don't lose every chance overall.

My preparation was good, I'm really motivated and I want to get at least a new comp. record in the 2-hand pinch, then I'm happy.

After the comp I'll focus again on DLing and address the challenges again.

The Huge Shiny should be absolutely doable, all others may need a bit more work, cough cough.

kill'em Franky!!!

you'll do great, I am sure, unless you get one of those crazy temptations of bending/closing grippers/lifting blobs the night before the contest.

nice to see you finally resting before a comp.

In any case, you definately have the strength to win.
