Clean and Press Apollon's Axle

11x3x125 in 10:15 then realized I had misloaded the bar....

50 reps in 21:47 with 135 (11 triples then some doubles followed by a bunch of singles)

For those who might be interested....

The bar moves 74" on each rep.

My first bunch of clean and presses today were done at a rate of 41.3 pound feet per second. My second bunch were done at a rate of 21 pound feet per second. If I did the math right. Any engineers in the audience can feel free to correct this.

That's cool Doc. :cool Your overall hand strength level is very good. Just curious if you were specializing, I didn't think you would.

I figured out a while ago that I'm not going to win any of these things, so I just train what I want and make the trip to meet folks, and hang out with my buddy's.

Speaking of which, I'm looking forward to meeting you in the flesh. I reckon we've got some talking to do.

Turkish Get Up 2 times with each hand 24kg kb

Clean and Press Apollon's Axle

17 sets of 3 reps with 145lbs

51 reps in 18:10

Bed Jumps Tailgate down from driveway onto tailgate

3x5

Side Lunges

3x5x35

Iron Boot Work

Fooled around with blockweights inbetween sets of lunges and Iron Boot work.

Snatch

Clean and Press

Barbell Bent over Rows

Club Swinging heavy clubs

Took some time to get the feel of the squat snatch again. 130 felt easier each time. Best to progress from success rather than charge into failure...

Doc, how much do you weigh? You look to be about my size. And your slow lifts are similar to mine as well.

Same build, but the pictures on farmstrength make you look a lot shorter! Hard to read size when you lack a comparison. Say, I see that you like to use clubs a lot. What do you consider to be the biggest benefits of club swinging?

The major advantages to clubs are: 1, they're fun; 2, they really hammer the shoulder girdle, triceps, wrist and grip; and 3, they seem to be maintaining/increasing my shoulder flexibility at the same time.
