Although I don't play DnD a lot I always feel the need to bust out the dice when I want to make some kind of random system like that. Those little colored dice are irresistible!

I managed to Stewart myself real good. Moving cab panels at work, a panel slid off the cart we were using to move them and cut my wrist. I slapped a band aid on and went back to work. A day later my forearm feels real funny. I start feeling around on it and get scared. I may have sliced one of my tendons on my wrist (you know where you've got 2 big tendons right below the thumb pad on your wrist...I've only got 1 standing out now). I've seen the dr. He isn't sure what to think. MRI on Monday. The good news is no pain until I move my wrist just so. Then I do the Owwy Face.

Training may change drastically here. I'm pretty frustrated. Things had been moving along. I guess it's time to hammer stuff I don't need my hands for.

Sean,

Hope you get better soon. Let us know what the MRI showed. Best of luck. :mosher

Sean,

I hope the MRI brought better news than you anticipated. I gather a lot of inspiration from your accomplishments; especially your blob/ block weight work. Hope you have a doctor that spends some time assessing your injury carefully and gives you the best possible treatment, If your gut tells you something isn't right, get a second opinion.

MRI confirmed a tendon tear. Musculature is intact. I've got an appointment with a specialist on Tuesday. I've not attempted anything other than work since the injury. Open hand extension I have a limited range of motion. For instance, the front leaning rest position is very painful. Washing hands or face induces spasms as the unattached muscle attempts to contract (painful experience). I may do some piddling this afternoon to see what exactly I can do grip/lifting wise until surgery.

I appreciate all the well wishes.

Hope you are healed up soon Sean. You are truly an inspiration. I was reading in the "school of hard knocks" thread about Dan Praydis torn tendons and thought the info might be of help for you; don't know if this applies to your situation or not.

I was catching up on my reading and saw you got some airtime with Mr. Sorin's Blob. How did the "feel" of the original compare to your own?

I tried the other half of the 105 after I watched you toy with it in your video on Wednesday, but I think I'll need to let my thumbs heal up, remove the kryptonite (hammertone paint) and lift it David Horne style (last 3 fingers) before I will be able to give it a fair shot. It just kept slipping out of my hand (tried it both clean*** and dirty*** styles)

The original has more of a slope that ours , but Doc has just got one that is older and more like the original.

Bob, Good to see you back around. Sorin's Original did not feel a whole lot different to me on that one night. I was pretty excited tho' and did not attend to details very well. Richard has posted talking about the greater slope, and I have seen a difference in blobs that have passed thru my hands since I last saw his.

Wow, I just PM'd you yesterday and assumed that you were ok because you were still able to work. I ruptured my bicep tendon, windowshade effect on bicep, approx. 10 yrs. ago and it is everybit as strong now as it everwas. I was out for several months but strength came back quickly. Wish you a speedy recovery.

Thanks for your replies Doc and Nick.

Hope your surgery and recovery goes well. Glad to see your still continuing the whole-body training.

I'm starting to think the other hand benefits even when you are only training the non-injured one, I almost got five tens all the way up to a full DL with my left hand tonight despite doing almost no direct heavy griptraining with it since my return (tennis elbow from pullups/wrist curls).

I'm confident you will bounce back quickly once you've healed up.
