DevilErik
Today's session: Grippers I found a way to set wooohoooo! I hook the bottom of the gripper handle with the muscle between my thumb and index finger and push as hard as I can. CoC no 3.5: 3 negatives The gripper does pop open but it is barely noticeable. I noticed that the last few mm of the close are almost impossible for me I think I just have to get used to it. I was able to hold it in this position for like 10 seconds which suprised me in a good way. I closed it with 2 hands a few times and held it closed with one hand wrapped around the other just to get used to the amount of pressure. 1 no set attempt: The negatives immediately primed my nervous system because I managed to move it farther than I normally can on my very first attempt. Coc no.3: 4 negatives These popped open as well but it was also barely noticeable. Recovery: 100 LB gripper: 3x failure Extensor "bucket": 3x failure Edited September 9, 2022 by DevilErik
DevilErik
Today's session: grippers Warming up: 100 LB 150 LB Coc 3.5: 4 negatives The gripper no longer rotates in my hand while trying to close it. Thanks again for the video @C8Myotome! Coc no. 3: 4 negatives Coc no. 3.5 1 attempt I decided to do 1 attempt after all these negatives to see how far I could close it this far into my session. This was a huge suprise I was able to close it 3/4 of the way after doing 8 negatives! Hopefully I will be able to close my 3.5 in a few weeks from now I am making great progress now that I am doing negatives again. The grippers still pop open but it is barely noticeable I don't think it matters because I am making great progress. Recovery: 100 LB gripper: 3x failure Extensor "bucket": 3x failure

DevilErik
Today's session: Grippers Warming up: 100 LB 150 LB CoC no. 3: 8 attempts I am literally 2mm away from closing it. DevilErik
Today's session: Grippers Ivanko Super Gripper: Warming up: (1,3)-(1,5)-(1,7)-(1,8)-(1,9)-(1,10) This warm up feels so much better! CoC no.3: 1 attempt I am still 2mm away from closing it CoC 3.5: 3 attempts I am now a deep set away from closing my 3.5!!!!! CoC no.3: 3 negatives CoC no. 3.5: 3 negatives This session was absolutely brutal! I can handle way more volume than before which is awesome! DevilErik
Today's session: Grippers I also have a no.4 now! Ivanko Super Gripper: Warming up: (1,3)-(1,5)-(1,7)-(1,8)-(1,9)-(1,10) CoC no.4: 1 attempt I am actually able to close it halfway. I just wanted to attempt it for fun. CoC no.3: 4 attempts I am so close but the last few mm are crazy difficult for me because I am simply not used to grippers ramping up like this. I can literally blast through both the no.3 and the no. 3.5 like they are nothing but the last few mm are crazy difficult for me. I am going to start using the Ivanko to train the close because Ivanko closes feel like overcrushes. I know the Ivanko doesn't ramp up like CoC's do but these closes should still be beneficial. Recovery: 100 LB gripper: 3x failure Extensor "bucket": 3x failure Edited September 22, 2022 by DevilErik

DevilErik
Today's session: Grippers Ivanko Super gripper: Warming up: (1,3)-(1,5)-(1,7)-(1,8)-(1,9)-(1,10) CoC no.3: 1 attempt I AM GETTING CLOSER! Coc no 3.5: 2 negatives These don't feel heavy anymore Ivanko Super Gripper: 3 overcrushes (close+5 second hold): (3,12) 114 LBS RGC I just have to start focusing on the end range now the sweep of both the no.3 and 3.5 feel like a joke to me. DevilErik
Today's session: Grippers Ivanko Super Gripper: Warming up: (1,3)-(1,5)-(1,7)-(1,8)-(1,9)-(1,10) CoC no.3: 2 attempts I am just not able to close it all the way I keep missing by a few mm. Coc no. 3.5: 4 negatives Here's what I am going to do: I am going to start doing attempts with my no.4 and either start doing attempts with my 3.5 or continue doing negatives with it. Once I am a few mm away from closing my no.4 I will get the hardest CoC.4 I can find in a choker and start training the end range. Once I am able to close that no.4 I will certify on the no.3,3.5 and the no.4. I have noticed that once I start focusing on the end range I start losing sweep strength which is just not worth it in my opinion. DevilErik
Today's session: grippers Ivanko Super Gripper: Warming up: (1,3)-(1,5)-(1,7)-(1,8)-(1,9)-(1,10) I didn't do any negatives today because I tore my pinky pretty badly during my previous session. Coc no.4: 4 attempts Ivanko Super Gripper: I was on a roll this session I just kept destroying settings I would normally miss after my attempts. I wanted to do 4 attempts but I ended up doing 5 with a (7,10) 125 LB RGC close for my final attempt which was a huge suprise because I expected having to lower the resistance in order to hit all 4 closes but instead I destroyed this setting which was like 4 settings above the setting I was planning on closing this session.
