Electron
That's a high 2.5 and a "perfect" #3. Do you live anywhere near arizona?

Joey_grips
I can close the 2.5 with my right hand mate but I'd love a challenge for my left hand, I just close the 2 with my left so I'll definitely go for it. This will be fun! Hey man, nice talking to you and thanks for joining. I'll be continuing this race with both hands til I can consistently close the 2.5 from a block set. It'll still take a while. In the meantime, let's have fun with this! Like wise man! I'm now working a left hand block set with my no 2 so I'm very far away from the 2.5 with my LH

On ISG2 Adam Glass mentions training using dime, nickel, quarter, and half-dollar sets before going into a block set, so this is where my training is at right now. That's what you gotta do man, a little bit at a time. At first I was aiming to close the 2.5 down to a 25mm gap, then 20mm and so on until I finally closed it. I recommend holding it for a few seconds (dont worry about the gap) just hold it and each week you'll slightly improve and break into new barriers. J.Burns
if you set that coc 3 better that thing woulda been shut... your soo close man!
Electron
Martin, you totally own that #2.5! I was expecting you to re-set it after each rep but no, you just kept grinding them out. As for the #3, I agree with Mr.Burns above, like I'm Smithers.
bwwm
Thanks for the kudos guys. Yori - I'm thinking your Vulcan will help me a lot with setting strength, form, etc. I also think I just need to just try to close the #3 more often instead of banging out reps with the 2.5. Joey_grips
Hey dudes, I smashed the 2.5 last night like never before. Due to the fact I was so pissed off after finding my car damaged in the car park. Here is the video attached. I then picked up my no.2 and did 4 singles with it using my left hand. Again the rage allowed me to do so. The adrenaline and rage I had was unreal. Haha keep in mind I'm not an aggressive person, I was just upset lol http://youtu.be/a4FXK5Y7gMw

I'm gonna do for 4-5 reps today, if not today, next weekend!
hellswindstaff
Touched the handles, in a choker with my other thumb touching the dogleg, but not assisting in the close. It was definitely a grinder. I remember when my coc#1 was that hard to close. Edited October 23, 2012 by hellswindstaff

hellswindstaff
I think that we should all be closing the #3 by the end of next year, conservatively speaking.

bwwm
For me, it's hard to say if I will close my #3 by EOY, but I'm hoping to do more attempts on my #3 until then. I was a millimeter or two away on my last attempt, mms. I'm rotating in 1 hand lifts of my plateau buster to see if that can give me a little extra juice at the close. Mephistopholes
I think that we should all be closing the #3 by the end of next year, conservatively speaking. I'd like to jump in on that, now that I feel like I've got the #2.5 in my pocket.... I that's allowed. hellswindstaff
I meant by the end of 2013, this is also assuming that we train crush grip throughout the entire year... I think that this is very possible for all of the new 2.5 closers. It would also be cool to keep up this thread, or a new one, so it's like we're a team focusing on closing higher level grippers. bwwm
Sorry - I misread your earlier post. Yeah, I better be CCS'ing the CoC#3 by EOY 2013, or I'll be p'd.
hellswindstaff
I know... that's why I said VERY POSSIBLE! Does anyone plan on ultimately training for the #4?
