Wall Sit

Only set: Time: 1 minute, 40 seconds (PR).

--

Was a pretty long time ago I trained my legs. With this workout I think i'm back to Wall Sits at least! When I lost 3-4 kg (6.6-8.8 pounds) I will get back to hindu squats.

Thanks Ben ! :)

I'm hoping to be able to bend it in my goal time soon! (under 30 seconds)

Yesterday and today i've been tryin to close CoC #3 (RH), all misses I think. Perhaps some weak close yesterday, but none solid.

I think bending kills my gripper strenght. And when I try over and over again with grippers.... it kills my bending strenght..

I will try to do minimal of grippers training now when I am on a bending focus. Work more with grippers when i've done my bending goal for this year.

Today I will TRY to do just rehab with dexterity balls or something. Tomorrow light training, perhaps try to just bend ONE nail or so.

Then I hope to be back to the bending 100% by Tuesday.

I've noticed that my gripper work doesn't affect my bending all that much, if at all. However the bending affects the grippers heavily.

So to get around that I would always start every workout with grippers and then go for the bending.

Bending

DO:

A 17.6 centimeters, 6 mm thick, piece of stainless steel. Time: About 1 minute, 6 seconds.

Rest and dinner

IM blue nail. Time: 2 minutes, 58 seconds.

--

I feelt off today after all the grippers misses. The first bit was just to complete something after all failures.

Since I feelt off today im happy to succesfully bend a IM blue nail under 5 minutes, even though it was far away from PR time.

But is there anything funnier to do then to melt steel with your hands? When bending doesnt go bad.. it is extremely fun! :mosher

Bending

DO:

Bending in single IM bending pads:

16.9 centimeters piece of 6 mm Stainless Steel. Time: 1 minute: 59 seconds.

16.6 centimeters piece of 6 mm Stainless Steel. Time: 1 minutes, 46 seconds.

Then I bended a 5.1 mm spike to 2 centimeters (0,78 inches), just to finish it off. :tongue (bended in bath towel)

--

Feelt pretty awkward in the beginning to bend with single IM pads. But once you got past the first kink bit, it feelt good. I think I just use have to get used to it.

But the seconds nail feelt better in the beginning. But i took the pads away to fast, it wasn't under 2 inches. So the last part I bended with a regular towel.

Bending in IM pads are the TNS or CCS version of bending. When you can bend a bar in IM pads, you've officially conquered it IMO

Yeah okey, cool. I do feel it's considerably harder, can't wait to be able to bend a IM blue nail in single IM pads.

I really appreciate your advise and tips David. Since i'm new to this bending stuff and your not new to it.. :happy

David a question for ya - What's the next logical step after IM blue nail? Cut it down? I would like to have something I can buy at a swedish iron shop.

16.1 centimeters piece of 6 mm Stainless Steel, minimal kink since earlier. Time: 2 minutes, 38 seconds. Bended in golf towel.

First time ever I try Tabata. I will definitely do it more. I do it for stamina, general conditioning and endurance.

Next time I think I will try hindu squats for Tabata.

About today I think the weight was too easy, I could go for another cycle after the first 8 rounds, directly. No particular decrease either in reps. Next time I will probably eighter do snatches instead of swings, or tape on extra weights to the kettlebell, which currently is the only kettlebell I got.

Played around some with my BLOB50 today. Managed to touch PR in cheat lifts with each hand. Cheat lift with just index finger on opposite hand (off hand).

With RH I got, a couple of times, air under the blob, with a cheat lift with just assisting with pinky on off hand. I THINK I soon will do that cheat lift when I start training more with the BLOB50 again.

I intend to order more Stainless Steel (6 mm).

Now I have ordered 6 meters of 6 mm Stainless Steel (Rostfri Rundstång).

+ that I since earlier have ordered 25 pieces of IM blue nail. :D Should have them soon.

Bending

DO:

A piece of 15.3 cm 6 mm Stainless Steel. Failed. Tried for over 4 minutes.

A piece of 14.9 cm 6 mm Stainless Steel. Time: 4 minutes, 45 seconds. Bended in golf towel and single IM pads on the last part.

--

On the second bend I had the nail in a better position. Tired myself out on the first bend, so i'm happy to bend a even shorter 6 mm piece of the same type.

EDIT: I now realise that the 14.9 cm piece bend, is actually PR in shortest 6 mm Stainless Steel Nail, bended succesfully to 2 inches or below (this one was below) under 5 minutes! :)
