I'll probably still have one hell of a bruise on my right thigh after the almighty whack I gave it earlier throwing down the final single 440 pound effort. It's swelling up nicely.

Well it'll stop me hitching (allowed for the axle) LOL. And I am annoyed but only with my own stupidity.

Not good: It's now painful to walk. This photo doesn't do it justice: dscf4820.th.jpg

Please tell me that was just some random image from the web.

Nope. I took it about 30 minutes ago. It's my right thigh.

Adrenaline is an amazing substance. Hopefully you'll get enough of pumping through your veins during the comp that that bruise no longer hurts.

The cabin pressure will help on the flight over. Being even more pissed on the stage will help the lifting. That bruise won't stop you from doing what you do best.

Now get your limey butt over here. :D

Fingers crossed. I'm going to the local A&E (same as an ER) this morning to see what they say.

Ok. Just back 12.20 (after midnight) local time. When I spoke to Mike, my daughter and family I was still waiting to be seen at around 9.30 pm had been told 'see you in the morning' by the nurse. The doc finally came and saw me at 10pm and then I had to wait two hours for my meds. The doc, bless him, said I can travel.

What an adventure! So I've had a few hours sleep since yesterday (feeling REALLY wired now), didn't get to change any money into USD and I'm sure to forget something but if I can crawl to the station I'm coming. Hopefully I'll start grabbing some sleep back.

Zach buddy - pick me up!! I may not be the most talkative guy and want to crash when I get to your place but it's back on.

Hopefully mucho meds and a LOOOONNNGGGG snooze Thursday and I'll be ok. If I am up and about I'll stretch and ice (and repeat 3x). Hopefully vaguely human and able to enjoy the crack on Friday. The hospital gave me meds to take.

Well then good news all around I suppose. The house will be pretty deserted most of Thursday, so sleep away and then... steak.

You know Steve, worst case scenario, pass on everything, then lift the Bloody Bell out of the Box. :rock There is no money for 2nd place. Get your $1000 and have a good time.
