EricMilfeld
I think I'm ready to start getting serious about my double overhand again. I want to focus on the 6" length and get a 6" Edgin. I've really got my work cut out on this one.
EricMilfeld
4-12-2007 - 60D - 5/16x6" grade 2 bolt - Shiny Bastard cut to 6 3/16" to 2 9/16" between the ends (these are my tough Shinys) - isos with a 6" Edgin I had previously bent to 20 degrees - Keystone 70D cut to 6 3/16"
EricMilfeld
Just took a calibrated 6" Edgin from 30 degrees to 60 degrees.
EricMilfeld
I crushed the 6 3/16" Shiny down another 1/8", to 2 7/16", tearing off a sliver of skin from the top of my left forefinger in the process.

Ouch, that shiny's a biter. Better put it down! Once they taste blood, better look out. Btw Good stuff getting it to move. The hex we talked about came in, I'm just waiting on the other fun stuff. - Aaron

I send some once the 11/32 stainless comes in. - Aaron

EricMilfeld
Gazza, my bending's been on a roller coaster ride lately. Maybe this will motivate me enough to stay more cosistent. But regardless, I'm in! I'll be posting tomorrow's workout.
EricMilfeld
5-18-2007 - two 60D nails - three 5/16 x 7.5" crs (comparable to tough Bastard stock) - 7" section of a Grip Rite 80D (about 570 lbs.) - Edgin - 5/16 x 7" stainless hexagonal to 22 degrees before a blister flared up (645 lbs.) I tried some rubber bands for the first time today, and they did make the wrapping process go a bit smoother. I also tried some thicker wraps today (1 3/8") with no noticeable difference, other than the bend feeling a bit more comfortable.
