Mon. - Tues. Jan. 17-18, Nice little bout with food poisoning. Mental note, next time stay away from the fish. Taking it easy for a couple of days to let me body recover and regain some strength.

Nothing like a bought of fud poisoning, glad to see your on the rebound Jonathan!!

I contracted samonella one year and it took over a year before I felt "normal". Ever since I seem to be prone to GI infections.

I'm still not eating like normal, of course that's not necessarily a bad thing. All-in-all I'm as good as new now though, thanks.

Samonella would definitely suck. There was an outbreak of it here one time (if ever in NC stay away from the shady-looking BBQ joints), and it screwed a few people up big time. Glad everything's back to normal for you now man.

No sweat Jonathan. All I do is set up like a normal lift, then wrap my off hand around the hand that's holding the handle (from the opposite side) and lift. Let go with the off hand at the top of the lift. The biggest thing I've found is not to go overboard with the weights. Something that is too heavy and will just rip immediately from your hand defeats the pupose. 10lbs or so above your max is plenty.

About half-way through Sat. my back started killing me. Don't know what I did. It's still a little sore, and I have some soreness in my right buttock. Anyone have any idea what the cause might be? I honestly can't remember doing anything to cause this, and as you can see from my Sat. workout it was far from a heavy back session.

Sciatic nerve comes to mind?

Are you using a broom handle for your bodyweight goodmornings or are you simply placing your hands behind your head?

Just put my hands behind my hand. Seems to have worked, no more tightness or soreness, but my hammies have been shot for the past couple of days. I'm loving the handstand pushups, I think they're really gonna help my press and I can do them anywhere.

* had 145 to eye level Lt, but couldn't finish it. I'm extremely pleased, especially since this is the first time I've done these in a long time.

i havn't checked this part of the Board in a while, so i just found this thread. i've really enjoyed reading it, man you've got some great workouts here! great variety. were you able to play those workout videos i made of us a couple months ago? i havn't done much grip work the last week, i got too crazy with my big thumb clamp and kind of hyperextended my thumbs, stupid :trout we gotta workout soon, i want to try doing the handstand pushups on your paralletes. how much does this increase the ROM? keep up the good work, i'll look forward to checking out your workouts from now on.

Thanks Anson. You better heal that thumb up, your Blob is sitting here waiting for you to come lift it. Most of the videos worked. The paralettes allow me to get a full ROM on the handstand push ups. I can have my shoulders all the way down on the cross bars, and my head is still a couple of inches from the floor.

Nice work! How do you do the bear crawl? the thumbs have gotten a lot better, soon i want to start back on the blobs. You must be pretty close to pulling the big one.

Getting closer every day. I did the bear crawls like we used to do them in football practice, just basically moving as fast as I can on my palms and feet. Don't know if this is what most people consider a bear crawl or not.
