I thought I'd start this log in hopes of getting some positive feedback on my regimine. I'm not focusing on anything in particular now, just trying to get everything up to snuff.

Tues 11-23-04

Rope jumping between work sets

Bending (DU, just trying to maintain)

1/4"x7" HRSx2, 1/4"x5" HRSx5 straight

Behind the Back Wrist Curls (2" bar)

110x20, 130x20, 150x15, 170x5

Hands at Waist Wrist Roller (back only)

10x5, 20x3, 30x3

Clubbell Swinging

What are you doing for the club swinging?

Doc,

I don't really know the proper names for the clubbell movements. I just do a couple that Anson showed me, one where I bang the club overhead like a giant hammer, and one where I swing it around overhead like a big lariat.

Jonathan,

That's a pretty good excuse, I'll have to use that one sometime. :D I like rope skipping, but I tend to get bored with it after a little while. I'm looking everywhere for a nordictrack, just to have something a little different to do.

Couldn't get my butt out of bed this morning, but managed to get a workout in this afternoon.

2" Bar Close Grip Floor Press Lockouts off a 16" Concrete Block

110x12, 160x10, 200x5, 250 got stuck half way, 225x2

Grippers In Between Sets

1x10x2, Filed SMx1x2 Rt (neg Lt), 3xnegx2

KB Swings and OHS (swing every rep)

42x10x2, 77x4, 77x5

* these things are brutal. I tip my hat to you KB guru's

Gloved Stone "Block" Pinch

Narrow Flared Stonex2 carries, Same stonex2 High Pulls, Wide Flat Stonexholdx2

Upright Rows w/ 2" Bar Wrapped In Part of an Old Sleeping Bag

(Poor Man's Big Squeeze Bar)

70x6, 70x8, 90x2 and holdx2

*Wish I could afford Big Squeeze DB's, these things are brutal

Overhead Support Walks

One Arm DB C+P (alternating singles with a 2" DB and cleaning every rep)

60x12 each arm, 100x6 each arm, 130xPP after assisted clean

Hang Power Snatch and OHS (snatch every rep, 2" bar)

110x3, 130x3, 150x2x2

Walks with 150 lb. Sandbag on Head

50 steps, 100 steps

Pinch Weighted Strap Btwn. 2x4 Blocks

*I like this lift OK, but not my favorite pinch excercise

2 Hand Pinch

Played around with my new D ring handle, made by climber511. This is a quality piece of equipment, if you're looking for one I highly suggest sending him a PM. I couldn't go very heavy because I don't have my loading pin yet.

Ab Wheel

Hands felt a little "off" today. Gonna rest up over the weekend and hit it hard and heavy again Monday morning.

*tore a nice chunck out of my right hand on these, and came close to doing it with the left, anybody else using KB's have this problem? too much chalk?

Had an uncooperative baby this morning, so I had to wait until after work to workout.

Power Clean + Press (2" bar)

* now for the sad part--my overhead ability isn't what prevented me from going higher. I couldn't quite rack 250 no matter how many times I tried.

Thanks man. Haven't really talked too much about it. I hope we can do it soon, but Anson's pretty busy with work and his house. Hopefully we can work something out this month.

Tues. 12-7-04

20 min on NordicTrack. I'm starting to get the hang of this thing and getting a pretty good pace.

Bent a couple of pieces of 1/4" steel, but my upper body is still pretty sore from yesterday. I think I'm gonna have to lay off the bending for a little bit to concentrate on everything else I'm trying to do.

Yeah, I talked to Anson last night and got a report. I hate I missed it, I heard some good things. Just had too much going on. We may try to get together near Christmas when we're off work.
