Been meaning to start one of these for a while. I'm trying to get better on grippers, block weights, bending. Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday I workout at home and Saturday I do wrist curls, reverse wrist curls, plate curls at the gym with my shoulder and biceps. Tuesday I focus on bending, Thursday on grippers, and saturday is blockweights. Tuesday i work chest/tris, thursday back/legs, but thats not going in here.

Going to drop bending (at least for a while, lingering pains in my right wrist and left thumb) Also feel it's hurting my progress on the grippers and blocks.

Why am I still not getting this thing? Starting to really hate this "no set" stuff

Am I doing something wrong?

2 hand plate pinch (first try ever) 66#, 116#, 127#, out of weights! (x-mas is coming, help me out!) I have to use 33# plates for grabbing, can do them with one hand but they are sharp! My 25's are real fat, I need some 45's! I figure I could do maybe 20-30 more lbs.

2 x 25# plate pinch laps round my back- got 4.5 grabbed my tshirt as I was hitting 5 and dropped em on the floor, better do them outside next time.

2 x 25# p.p. max hold x 1 bout 10 sec.s each hand

2 hand blob preachers x 10, 6, DAMN THOSE ARE COOL!

1 hand 30# hex concentration curls x 4 reps a side

Sledge levering til toast every direction

Anyone reading this have any advice to help me close that #2 no set?

Its so easy w/ set, I have 7.75" hands. I'll get it, but it's starting to piss me off.

Dean-

I'm no gripper expert--but can perform no-set closes pretty well. It's a matter of wiggling the gripper around in your hand until it's in the most advantageous position for the close.

I try to hold the thumb-side handle stationary with the thumb of the closing hand--pushing it towards my pinky to "anchor" it as best I'm able. Then start to crush the finger-side handle in, using my first 3 fingers for the closing--as the handle gets close enough, I work the pinky onto the end of the gripper handle, and complete the close.

This could be something you're already doing--but if you mimic the way your hand closes a gripper with a set, you're on the right track.

When you close a gripper without a set, the handle in your palm must have (nearly) the same position as if you set the gripper (the sweat point).

Use your long fingers to pull the other handle until you can grip it with your pinky.

Not a training day normally but played with Ivanko Supergripper.

At least 30+ hard singles, not bad for an off day. I have no self control!
