I hadn't thought about setting a calorie parameter on something like this. I typically think of these calorie thresholds on the C2 rower/ski erg/bike. Hold do you factor in things like rest periods/pauses? Do you just start working, do holds, then get back at it when you can, all with calories running in the background?
