10 sledge rotations per hand using above 1st hole

Blob minicycle: 4 cycles added 1 thin washer to everything but the blob50

After the workout I started thinking about the technique section in BlobKTA and remembered I'm supposed to stand directly over it and not have it out in front of me. Then I decided to try and anchor the thumb joint closest to the palm to the edge instead of the one closest to the nail. WOW! what a difference, tonight I fully deadlifted the Blob50 for 3 singles RH and held it for several seconds. Praise the Lord :bow:bow:bow:bow . I didn't get it lefty but I'm really close, will probably get it in the next week. I'm changing my goal RH to a Blob50 clean. Special thanks to Rick Walker and Big Steve for creating the BLOB KTA. It's only my second workout of the program but the technique section alone was worth the price for me. I'll get some pics up as soon as my photographer/wife cooperates :D

Finished with 8 more sledge rotations per hand on the 1st hole

***got the Blob50 to my bellybutton on two of the lifts RH :rock . Didn't get any air under it lefty but I will soon

8 sledge rotations LH at 1st hole

9 sledge rotations RH at 1st hole

closed the MM3dud once but just barely. I'll hit some grippers this weekend.

5 Blob mincycles: added thick washer and thin washer to base weights (total of 2 washers)

3 full pulls with the Blob50 righty, half lockout on the first two

no new progress lefty

I was in a hurry this morning to the workout done before work so that was probably why I wasn't as strong today

Blob mini-cycle: 5 cycles, added choker collar washer (total 3 washers)

missed my 1st deadlift righty didn't even get air, pulled it to my bellybutton on the 2nd one, to my lower ribs on the 3rd one, got a full deadlift with 3 fingers and thumb (no pinkie) on the 4th one PTL :bow , attempted 2 fingers on the fifth, didn't get any air but when I cheated it up I could hold it there so I'll get it eventually.

Lefty no air on any attempts

2 sets of 10 sledge rotations hand above 1st hole

Attempted some plate curls but they proved to be super-challenging with my thumbs hammered from the blob workout

IM loading pin with standard weights NOT olympic ones

RH: 25x5, 35x3, 40x1, 40x1, 45x0, 45x1

LH: 25x5, 35x1 sharp pain on inner elbow so I stopped and did a set of reverse wrist curls with a 5lb plate to failure

Tried some 2 hand plate wrist curls with my olympic 45 but I could only get three reps due to my thumbs. I just couldn't hold on to it very well. Repped out righty with a 25lb standard plate on plate wrist curls

warmup: OC #2

RH

SilverCrush #3: 1/8, credit card, closed PTL :bow:bow:bow , closed ,closed

MM3dud: closed, 1/8, credit card, 1/4, 1/4

**last 4 sets on MM3dud I was concentrating on parallel set using a mirror

LH

ISG: 1,4,12: closed, closed, closed, closed, closed,

#2: concentrating on technique then OC: 5 sets

Well it's nice to know that I can close an "old school" #3 now since I closed that SC#3. It's 1/8 mounting, 3.25 spread, and slick as snot with those chrome handles. Praise the Lord :bow , it was on my goal list

Can't wait to play with the Blob50 some more tommorrow!!!

 I'm jealous Josh.

Wanna a SC #3 too. :cry

Congrats on closing it. Must be a real beast.

You're doing really good on the Blob50.

That motivates me to work more with mine.

Lets see who cleans it first. :laugh

It's technically a silver crush GM I had Warren make to those specs. I forgot those things are collector's items when I posted the workout, hope I didn't mislead anyone. You should get one, there a lot of fun. You're on with the Blob50 :D

Blob minicycle: 7 cycles, got rid of the three washers and added a 2.5lber to everything but Blob50

RH: full deadlift, just missed cleaning it, I lost it turning my wrist over, 2 finger attempt, no air but nice hold upon cheating it up, cleaned it Praise the Lord :bow:bow, cleaned it, 2 finger attempt: no air but good hold again after cheating it up, attempted clean but I lost it, did a three finger lift just for good measure

LH: got air on all but two attempts, most were about ankle high but I did get it to knee height on one.

10 sledge rotations on 1st hole

10 sledge rotations directly above 1st hole

****The clean wasn't the upright row into a casual wrist rollover that Blobmasters Doc and Jedd do. I pulled it about rib high, but I did it explosively, then I dropped under it and stood up. Probably the most athletic thing I've done in years :D

Thanks Shane, they better make a whole new pyramid altogether for you!

7 Blob mini-cycles: added thin washer to new base weights

***horrible on the blob50 deadlifts today only a couple of full pulls but at least one of them was a 3 fingered one. As far as LH, I got it to my ankles once. I'll do some contrast baths and come back stronger tommorrow :rock

Warm up:

Sledge rotations: hand above 1st hole 10 reps per hand

Unsupported Thick wrist roller: 30lbs up twice

7 Blob mini-cycles: added thick washer to thin washer and base weights

RH: wrists were really sore so I didn't jack around trying any cleans tonight. I decided to work on the 2 finger blob50 lift. Got a couple of inches of air on attempts 1-3. On attempt 4 and 6 I almost locked the thing out. Praise the Lord for another PR on this thing :bow:bow . I had it up to my hip but I started to lose it when I straightened my back. Attempts 5 and 7 I didn't even get air.

LH: got air a couple of times and to mid-calf once

Did some curls and front and lateral raises with my R-ring and loading pin after the blob workout. Wow, this is much different than dumbells. I messed around with some inverted attempts on the #2 using only the last two fingers, between sets of raises. These are kinda fun; I got within an 1/8. I used my thumb on the gripping hand to help pull the fingers in when it got close enough, kind of like Gorilla Hands' thumb is in his picture of him closing the #1 with 1 finger.

Warm up:

Sledge rotations: hand above 1st hole 10 reps per hand

Unsupported Thick wrist roller: 30lbs up twice

Blob Mini-cycle: 7 cycles added choker collar washer to other washers and base weights

I had to do the workout this morning before work so I knew it wasn't going to be a PR day since I worked out so late last night. Thumbs felt like jello. RH: got 4 full pulls, 3 that barely broke the ground. LH: no air on any attempt. I'll come back stronger tommorrow.

Warmup

Sledge rotations: hand above 1st hole 10 reps per hand

Unsupported Thick wrist roller: 32.5lbs up 3 times

Blob Mini-cycle: 7 cycles, stripped washers and added 2.5lbs to base weights except for blob50

RH: did a bunch of 3 finger pulls, ripped off a hunk of skin on my ring finger knuckle , on the blob50 embossment, trying a two finger the other night so I won't be messing with those again unitl that heals

LH: little air on a couple of them, thumb joint where it goes into the palm feels bruised???

Wrist work

Sledge hammer pick-ups off the table: this is my new favorite sledge exercise, these just torched my wrists

Sledge lever to the rear: did 2-3 sets of triples

Plate curl device: took a page out of the Rick Walker training book and cut a 2x4 to the length of an olympic 45 and drove some nails in the end. I hung my IM loading pin off the end. These are HARD, especially on the thumbs after that blob workout

RH: 5lbsx3, 10x0, 7.5x1 for 3 sets

LH: same

**weights don't include IM pin

***I'm gonna mess with these until I can get back into the gym and start working on my wrist curl goal.

****tried some wrist curls with my R-ring but between wearing thick gloves so I didn't lose any skin and having to stand to the side of the table instead of being over the weight like on a bench, they just didn't work out.
