ok its time to ''spicen'' up my routine a bit.

im gunna have a day for just singles now. i think ill go for 3 singles for now

and on the second day ill do my usual reps with a hard gripper

sooooo tonight will be singles

so last night i tried singles in my workout.

#3 right handed i did 3 sets of singles, as expected the first set was ok and it got alot harder on the third

#2 i actualy just repped out my #2 and hgot 12 reps, nothing special

anyways today i picked up my #3 for my workout and got baaaaaarely 1 rep.

ahahahaha i can only laugh. i guess 3 sets overtraied my hands, maaaybe.

well that is a 300% increase in my training volume if you think about it.

maybe ill stick to my reps for now

you know whats weird too, and what i kinda expected. since i closed my #3 i kind of lost motivation, caus i mean i closed it. that was my goes and now its done.

ok would you know that i never EVER trained forearms before, i added them to my gym routine and did them for teh first time on sunday night. now of course the first thing that goes through my mind is will this affect my grip routine.

ps ive been working out for 8 years just never did forearms, i was getting a good enough workout from just doing curls i guess and also a bit of laziness.

#3 right handed - was haaaard, did a DEEP set and got it shut then tried for a second rep and aaaalmost got it

220 left hand - 2 reps

now this tells me either this was a BAD day or yes doing forearms the same day realy messed up my grip workout.

hmmmm i have to find a way to balance these 2 workouts now.

yesterday i just picked up my grippers randomly without warmup

#3 right handed 1 rep (easy) and the second i almost got

couple hrs later i tried it again with the same result

cpl hrs later i tried again but failed

left handed i got 3 reps with my 220

that forearm workout i did reeeealy messed up my crushing (as expected)

yea i know, it realy did ruin my last 3 workouts. mooinabc1 im gunna do forearms for teh next 3 weeks (1 workout a week). next time i do them i will take 2 days rest off and then continue my grippers. if i still have bad workouts caus of working my forearms ill drop the workout.

its just that forearm workout felt soooo good, the pump was sweet.

but like i said if it interferes with my favorite hobby (gripping) its gone.

for the past week or so i have been verly slack with my routine.

i just pick up my #3 through out the day and try and crush it cold.

i was getting 1 rep for a bit and yesterday i got 2 reps. my forearms are starting to feel back to normal again, boy that forearm workout killed them.

right handed - #3 - closed it fairly easily and held it shut for 22 seconds.

(decided to start doing this no more than twice a week

left handed - 220lb - closed it and held it shut for 27 seconds.

now that was last night. today is my weekly forearm workout, and liek i said im gunna take 2 days off after to let my hands rest. so i did my gripper workout right before the gym. wasnt pretty, i baaaaarly got my #3 closed, for that matter it may have been 1 mm away, not sure. those holds the night before prob burnt me up.

HOW AM NOT DO GRIP FOR THE NEXT 2 DAYS??????? thats the real test!!!!

btw, do u think strap holds are any good? i just tried them today so i was just wondering if there worth it.

yea i would love to get certified, but im soooo far away from closing a #3 under the new rules. one day though, i wont give up.

I used strap holds a while ago, i found they helped, but later i dropped strap holds and concentrated on negatives and overcrushes, i was getting good gains so i didnt wanna change anything ya know.

but yea try some strap holds, it will be a good tool to help you out.

try doing some negatives about once a week too. just crush your #1 as far as you can and hold it for as long as possible. dont do them to much or youll overtrain.

right hand - #3 for 2 reps

left hand - #2 for 8 reps

meh....nothing special there, im only gunna add more logs when i have new pr's or ties of my previous pr's from now on.

Forget the IM rules you may be able to go Mash Monster level 0

with a video of your close...and then start the climb up the ladder.

I'd be excited as hell if I were you.

Great job with that #3 by the way.

yea that would be cool, do you know what kind of poundage the level 0 mash monster is? or how hard it is to say a #3?

im gunna try and get a vid of me closing my #3 asap so i can register as a mash monster lvl 0. why not i suppose.

like i said, im not posting in this thread unless i have a new pr to repot.

since i started consistently closing my #3 about 2 months ago i havent missed an atempt yet, BUT i have gone from getting my #3 for 4 reps to getting it for 1 rep. right now im getting it for 2 reps on average. im just basically maintaining my strength now till after xmas then im gunna kick it up a notch. Add strap holds into the mix, still gunna do low volume though. 1 set a night kinda thing.

Dannyboy congrats with the 220 pounder and the 17 reps

way cool. Just for fun is possible to try the 250 pounder with

some twist. Just for fun counld try to desease the the 250 pounds

by 2 or 3 to see how reps can you do.

that 250lb you sent me is a beast mooinabc1, it has to be harder than 250lb caus i can set close my #3 but cant the 250. i use it for negatives. its realy good that way.

A close is a close, if anything possibly it was the set or video. In any event

however you still closed it...Great Job!!
