this morning 30 minutes on the rower and 10 minutes of stretching

 

My aunt and uncle finally got back to me last night after 10 days of hearing nothing. I'd leave 4/25 come back 5/04. Unfortunately I'm not sure I can go now due to work obligations. Gotta think on it this morning

Have like 5 big jobs with a lot going on these next 3 weeks.

But I talked it over with my dad and brother and I’m good to go.

Thanks John. There are two reasons I don't train grippers right now, recovery/time and...

I test my strength on them every few months... I went from hardly doing my #1 unrated and a few times  unrated#1.5... To now they are easy. With no real gripper training or proper technique last time I tried I was less than 1/4" on my #2.

 

I'm curious to see how/if gripper strength progresses while I train for the inch without actually training grippers.

For what it's worth, if you ever do any Silver Bullet training/competing, you may be opening some of those heavier grippers sooner than you think.  That's how I rationalized buying some of mine anyway...hahaha

id say all 9reps where silent as they hit the couch pad and didn't make much noise.

extensor bands and sidewinder

 

 

All set for Florida 4/25-5/04.. I haven't taken this much time off from work since I entered the work force... Closest was last year I went to Colorado with my family for a week.  I'm not sure what I'll do with myself.

 

*edit FWIW I also took a week off when I got PRK corrective eye surgery a couple years back...

Beautiful, I’ve got a 151 I just squeeze for the hell of it when I’m warm, just see how much I can move it 😅I almost bought a GHP 175, but thought it was way to soon, this makes me reconsider lol nothing like getting new grippers in the mail

Thanks, I’ll open them up soon enough. I got enough things to squeeze in the mean time.

This came up on my Facebook memories today 4 years ago.. Want to talk about hard work...

Excavated this for a small addition. We bought a mini excavator for this job, couldn't fit anything bigger in the back yard.  I wheelbarrowed out 3 dump truck loads full of dirt and and filled a 20 yard dumpster full of dirt to save for backfill, and had to wheelbarrow back in.  Lots of jackhammering and drilling to key new foundation into old one. House was built on a spring so I was in constant  mucky water which made it 1000x harder.. We ended up doing the concrete footing but the form guy did the foundation.  

 

beer tasted awful good afterwork.

If I can just 8 solid reps on my 20lbs plate I can start adding again... the 10+5+2.5=17.5lbs is the thickest I want to do...

Leaving in 1 week. My cousin wants me to drive from Lakeland to Pensacola to see him.. The dude is the man, US Marine Corps flight instructor.  

I'm just not sure I can handle driving 7 hours with my uncle I'm traveling with. Unless we go with my uncle (his brother) we are visiting.  Flying with him is going to be hard enough.

I told my aunt and uncle to have alcohol, something to snort, something to smoke and and something to inject when I get there 🤣

(I'm kidding about everything except the alcohol part)

the son of a family friend needs help moving.  I don’t know him but he’s disabled Marine, was blown up 3 times and has seen and done the worst.  I really didn’t have time to help but I’m making it for him.

I knew the van was acting weird. Almost took the truck up. I took the back roads to NH and home  because it’s beautiful with all the farms and old houses. Stalled in the ghetto of Lowell Mass though but better than highway 

 

dinner was great. I wanna go back for my bday and get 3lbs tomahawk ribeye.

Felt great, the FBBC inch handle, I got some unassisted airtime.. Not much but it's something! Which felt great.. I'm not cupping as much now on the 2.5 Crusher and that felt better but I missed my last set, only got 2 reps.

 

The carabiner I was using for a while was to round on both sides so I could get the slack out, so when I lifted it it would spin like crazy and I think thats how I messed up my wrists in both hands.. Since getting a new one its gotten better.

 

All ready for Florida, I can't wait I really really need a break

 

 

Was watching some instagram vids of James Fuller (who's only about 2.5 hours from me).. I might start incorporating some strength movements like he does when I get back.. Also going to try and pick up some more plates.
