Your idea of allocating a hand per event is interesting and I look forward to see how it works out for you!

As always though, good work mate!

I think some other people also do it so they don't tire out their dominant hand in competitions.

It also kinda makes sense for me because 1. I'm not ambidextrous, so my RH will always be better at grippers if I train them equally, 2. my left thumb is longer than my right, so I think it has a better potential for one-handed thick bar (which does not involve that much technique)

Yeah its pretty smart and good way to train. Especially for contests.  But it would bother my OCD way to much.🤣

Thats another cool thing about grip though if you get an injury in one hand you can still use your healthy one, and hopefully train stuff with the hurt hand that doesn't aggravate it.

LH (front) - reverse bending single leathers
- CRS 9/32" x 7"
- CRS 9/32" x 6.2"
- Drill Rod 9/32" x 7"
- 3 nails 13/64" x 6" taped together
- CRS HEX 7mm x 7"
- C45 7mm x 7"
- Bolt 5/16" x 7"

Some weaker bolt from the hardware store. The goal was to put 40 degrees to both ends, 5" from the ends. It's basically two very short bends but on one bolt.

RH - blobs
- 1x5 KWN40 lift
- 1x1 KWN50 lift
- 4x2 KWN50 side-assisted lift
- 2x12 sec dragging around the KWN55

The recent curse of the blob continues, only one unassisted lift with the KWN50 (it was the 4th set).
But I feel like I really get out a lot of these side-assisted lifts. Btw I never start the lifts assisted, I only touch it when it starts slipping (I always break the ground unassisted on the first rep).

+ I looped one of those 13/64" x 6" nails unbraced

22.5kg/50lb dumbbells side raises

Chest crusher upside down, max resistance
- 3x16
- 2x14

RH - grippers
- 3x3 Stainless Adjustable Level 5 RGC 135, 20mm block set
- 2x3 Stainless Adjustable Level 4 RGC 145, 20mm choked
- 1x1 Stainless Adjustable Level 3 RGC 156, 20mm choked
- 1x1 Filed Standard Adjustable Level 3 RGC 135, 20mm block set with 10-sec hold

LH - Inch trainer
- 1x5 128.8lb/58.4kg level lift
- 1x1 151.2lb/68.6kg level lift

Tried this one more set, but no luck and I didn't want to tilt it on purpose.
- 4x1 146lb/66.2kg level lift
- 1x3 63.7kg/140.4lb

DU
Alternated between the 1" and 1.3" wraps. Relatively long session.

1" singles conventional DU
- CRS 9/32" x 7"
- CRS 9/32" x 6.3"
- Grade 8 bolt 1/4" x 6" 490lb batch

I only have one more rated G8 :(.
- CRS HEX 7mm x 7"
- DR 7.2mm x 7"
- DR 9/32" x 6"

1.3" singles modified DU
- CRS 5/16" x 7"
- CRS 21/64" x 7"
- 304H increased carbon stainless 5/16" x 6.7"

I was able to put it to 40+ (43), but I hate this material so much. At least drill rods and C45 are interesting, this is just boring and stupid hard. Anyway I think I have two more pieces then I'm looking forward never bending it again.
- CRS SQUARE 7mm x 6.7"
- 35 CrMo-A 5/16" x 7"

When it clearly got to 40+ I stopped, too tired.
- Stainless bolt 5/16" x 6"

Blobs - RH
- 1x5 KWN40 (18.7kg/41.2lb) lift
- 1x1 KWN50 (50.5lb/22.9kg) lift
- 6x2 KWN50 (50.5lb/22.9kg) side assisted lift
- 2x15sec KWN55 (54.9lb/24.9kg) dragging it around

Inch trainer - LH
- 1x5 128.8lb/58.4kg level lift
- 1x3 140.4lb/63.7kg level lift
- 1x1 151.2lb/68.6kg - level to the knees but then it slipped

Left wrist is a little bit sore from yesterday's DU, so it's ok.
- 1x2 146lb/66.2kg level lift
- 1x1 146lb/66.2kg level lift
- 1x1 146lb/66.2kg slight tilt lift
- 1x3 140.4lb/63.7kg level lift
- 3x2 140.4lb/63.7kg level lift

+ Stationary bike 60 min/22.4 km/ resistance 14
I will start doing cardio again on some of the grip-days because I want to lose some weight, and I hardly doubt I burn enough calories with blobs, Inch trainer, or grippers 🙃

It's a national holiday here, so I got everything done before lunch.

Nice work!

Cardio is important, i  don't try to set any records but I do it a few times a week, just for the health benefits.

Yeah I know man, it's just a little bit hard to find time for it (+it can be pretty boring if you're not outside). But you're correct of course...

The only cardio I do is the walking at work 😔

I think steady state cardio for an hour like you did will improve a lot of general health if you don't do any at all like me lol.

That is why I save my rowing for after work a night or two a week now.

I consume some “cardio enhancers” 🤣 put on some good music and get into a zone.

now the nice weather is here I’ll walk more also

That sounds good. Where do you get your venison from? I’ve only had it once.

It was great! From a small business made by hunters. There is an overabundance of deer in the north of Japan, so if you know your sources, it's easy to get it and it's cheap.

Thats awesome.  Theres an over abundance of white tails deer here.. I tried venison once and deer liver once... I like it but no one else in my family out here does...

I may see if I can go whitetail hunting with my uncle this fall.  I'd also like to go moose hunting. My cousin got one last year..

That's great volume with the weighted pushups.  Do you use stands for more depth or because its easier on the wrists?

Originally I got it to avoid that awkward wrist position when doing high volumes, but the additional depth is a nice plus as well (especially if you wear a weight west).

LH - Inch trainer
- 2x2 140.4lb/63.7kg level lift
- 4x1 146lb/66.2kg level lift
- 1x2 140.4lb/63.7kg first rep level second slight tilt
- 2x1 140.4lb/63.7kg level lift

RH - blobs
- 1x4 KWN40 (18.7kg/41.2lb) lift
- 3x1 KWN55 (54.9lb/24.9kg) side assisted lift
- 1x1 KWN50 (50.5lb/22.9kg) lift
- 3x2 KWN50 (50.5lb/22.9kg) side assisted lift
- 1x6 KWN40 (18.7kg/41.2lb) lift

Left thumb is still a little bit sore from reverse, and RH was tired from grippers, but it is what it is.
If I'm being honest, blobs are a little bit frustrating lately. Although I can lift the KWN50 almost every workout, progress has been super slow compared to other stuff.

Both hands - dumbbell wrist curls, one-handed dl position
- 5x8 42.5kg/94lb

Two-handed reverse wrist curls with rolling pin
- 5x25 black band

nice pump

I find that I only excel at a couple things at a time... For a while I was killing it with the crusher handle, now not so much. I'm doing better at a couple other things now.

And with my Blobtop it's very much the same, it's like 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. It can get really frustrating but like you said is what it is.

yeah I know.. I'm sure I'm missing some technical things (time to reread the LTB), but I'm not even sure if I'm doing it too much or the other way around. I could start doing a bunch of volume with the 40lb blob, but I have a feeling the carryover would be pretty weak to the heavier blobs because they are just much wider.

Side assisted lifts are great but.. I've never failed a side assisted rep. This suggests that based on my performance I unconsciously regulate how much I assist. And that's not very good, hard to keep track.

When I can lift the 50lb blob unassisted, it's always with some wrist flexion because my wrist is relatively strong and my thumb is weak. Maybe I should start focusing on my thumb like I did for a few weeks in the past. But that has a huge performance impact on blobs, and I like blobbin'...

Just thinking aloud

Have you tried a deload system with a resistance band? The volume with lighter blob is probably beneficial for other reasons if you wanna lift the bigger blob that's what you should be getting your hands on.

Just gotta be careful that thing doesn't snap back at you.
