Thumb progress video, I've been doing direct thumb work for just over 2 months now. My thumb pads have really grown, I've still a long way to go but it's good progress. Bigger thumb lads really help with grippers and other grip lifts

🤣 Thanks man, Ive always had large palms but not very thick but that's changed, they are really starting to thicken up and I've only gained a few lbs but my hands looked like they have gained about 30lbs.

I've really put the work in. I've pretty much done the same workout or a slight variation of it now for 11 weeks but it's working so I'm sticking at it until Christmas.

So I'm not one of these people who trains grippers at home and has a nice display of them as I just dont have the space. I've just bought a new storage case for them and customised the inside to store them all nice and neatly and in order.

Thanks man, it's nice to have somewhere to keep them all neat and tidy. Before them now I just had them in an old tool case in a pile lol.

BW 76.7kg

Seated cable rows with angles 90 grips

40kg X 8

60kg X 8

80kg X 8

90kg X 8

Box step ups

BW 4 x 20 at 20"

Grippers

Coc T 2 x 3 L+R

Coc 1 X 2 L+R

STD gold X 1 L+R

Left hand

GHP 5 107lbs - 5 attempts down to about 5mm

Negatives

Filed coc 2 110lbs 2 x 5

Right hand

Filed COC 2 110lbs - 5 attempts down to about 3mm

*Filed grippers are damn tough, they ramp up massively at the end as expected. I'm weak in this range for now but this is exactly what I need. Also this is about 90% of my max which isn't easy. In hindsight I should have waiting an extra day to try this but it's hard to wait when you have new grippers. When fresher I think I can close this.

Negatives

COC 2.5 126lbs X 5

Filed Coc 2 x 5 x 5

Close but no Cigar.

Looks like your fingers are overwrapping, your ring finger is pushing against the "palm" handle. Maybe this is just what it looks like to close filed grippers though, I don't know since I don't really use them.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate that. looking at the photo now you mention it it does look like it's placed a bit off where it should, it did slide back in my palm a bit though, the knurling is so light it was hard for it to stay put.

I had a bad gripper day in general, my setting felt bad today and everything else just felt off today. Saying that though although it's the first time trying a file gripper I felt once you got close in it felt a bit skewed, like the handles align slightly different to a non filed gripper. I shall see how I fare next week.

I should have rested today and tried tomorrow but the new grippers were calling my name lol.

My hands continue to keep thickening up, my palms but also the Interossei muscles between my metacarpals on the dorsal side of my hand. 3 pumps pop out when I flex my hand, pretty freaky but cool I think.

*Its a shame YouTube's quality of the video is rubbish and you can't upload in better resolution.

I have a Coin Lift from @Cannon that I may repurpose for "Junior" Silver Bullet holds (with only a pound or two) to work that range (or at least periodically test it).

That sounds great. I also actually have a penny coin with a lifting hook on it but i have never thought of using it for these holds. Great idea 👍
