We have been pushed so hard as of late expanding that yesterday was the first time I had to look at the wonderful pictures taken by grip/stength /athletic standout Adrian Blewett Wilson . There are priceless shots of all that happened and some just GREAT shots of the competitors (Jedd is a photo star!) We just hired another media person that should be getting up the videos and the bulk of the thousands of pictures taken there. The faces, intensity, and interest by the crowd is perfectly captured. They will be on our Sorixex site or by linking to Mightymittscontest.com in the very near future will let you see the awe inspiring photo collection. Thanks to all that made those days so special! Triple Crown! Things have settled and back at the madness of catching up here at home base. After a few gripsters asked about the significance of the colored pole scoring in the Monster Bell event I have secured the original score team's calculations, examined the poles and finally saw a video of the two monsters at work on the bell. The judges were right in accumulating data but the significance of the partial reps was missed in the final tally in regards to Mark Felix.( partial lifts did count towards placing when done within time limit) All marks were recorded compared several times by scorekeepers but the partial pull within the time limit mid way through the 30 second time limit was recorded but not considered to Mr Felix's event winning score( Rich had more consecutive sucessful lifts as in Highland games scoring so perhaps this momentarily confused the issue). This results in a dead heat tie for first overall ! All now have 32 points.Review of other placing individuals did not change. So, in an effort to be fair to all we will re distribute the prize money for the first three places as well as the sponsorship package all divided by three. Champions ALL three ,they will get an automatic invite next year and as mentioned in initial posts a Baseline testing unit will be at ready should a final tie( for champion) be percieved. We had one(baseline) at ready but did not know at the time it was in need. I think this proves the level of strength and competitors has improved each year and to me even a simple contest has many, many points to look at and be considered. All three Kings of the Mighty Mitts have gained and it now is "set right" at least by the rules of this particular competition. Congradulations to Mark, Rich and Tex! Richard Sorin
