Hi Paul,

Whatever catches my fancy on an old article or training program of some of the greats.

The last one was close to Jon Coles routine , Mr Cole , was one of the strongest of all time . His combined powerlifting and olympic totals are the highest of all time and he only weighed 280 or so.

May 23 Monday 2011

Grippers .. up to Rb 300 ccs x 5 singles

Thomas Inch deadlift .. 3 x 10 either arm

Pinch .. 2 x 45 lb plates x 3 x 5 sets , left and right

Bench .. up to 2 sets x 10 x 400lbs

D/bell curls standing ... 3 sets x 8 x 110 lbers

Two hands anyhow using kettlebells .. up to 151 lb in right hand and 70 lb in left.

One hand clean and press kettle bells ... up to 48k and 32kg in one hand.(186 lb)

Kettlebells The chain .. up to 56kg kbell

Kettlebell swings .. 64kg x 10 x 3 sets

One hand cleans on barbell .. up to 242 lbs , left and right hand

One hand deadlift.. up to 400lbs normal grip , standing like normal deadlift.

June 1st Wednesday 2011

The Chain kb's .. up to 56 kg

One hand clean and press kettlebell .. up to 76 kg

Overhead Saxon squats .. up to 64 kg

Normal grip on the 400 DL with bar out front? Wow, terrific!

242 on the one hand clean is awesome too. Is this the most you've ever done?

27th June Monday 2011

Thick bar cleans using 2.6 inch bar .. up to 130k

Thickbar deadlifts using 2.6 inch bar front grip .. up to 165kg x 5 singles

Apollon d/bell deadlift weighing 232 lbs .... 5 singles to knee height

One hand deadlift normal deadlift style .. up to 410 lbs

Reverse curls using ez bar .. up to 80kg x 3 singles

Chuck Ahrens concentration curl using 2.6 in barbell .. up to 100lbs x 3 singles

One hand pinch using 2 York 45's with pin .. 100lbs x 5 singles

Chris, I missed your updates!! Don't do that to us followers, don't disappear for a whole month please! You must understand that I fully believe reading this particular log makes me at least a little bit stronger :bow:D

One hand snatches 2.6 inch barbell .. up to 72.5 kg

One hand cleans 2.6 inch barbell .. up to 80kg

0ne hand deadlift 2.6 in barbell .. up to 92.5kg

Two hands deadlift front grip 2.6 in barbell .. up to 170kg

Index finger deadlifts .. up to 145kg

Middle finger deadlifts .. up to 190kg

Barrell clean and press .. 130kg x 5 singles

Middle finger DL's with 190kg, nice!! The biggest I have seen a photo of, is David Horne using a very similar weight, but I can't remember how much. If you get 200kg on this lift would it be some kind of record?? That is definitely worthy of a video Chris, if you're in the mood to please your audience. :tongue:bow

1st July Friday 2011

High Incline press 2.6 in .. starting from chest up to 180kg x 5 singles

Straight arm pullover ... up to 80kg x 3 x 3

One hand press .. up to 70 kg x 3 x 3

Handstand press ups ... 5 x 5 bodyweight 300 lbs , went red as a beetroot !!

Grippers .. up to 3.5 x 5 singles

Had me worried ha ha. My middle finger chins and attempt at what may be a UK record (no idea if it is) with a little under 100-kilos using middle fingers knuckles forward may have been at risk!

I even found your question funny, as in, "is it not obvious it's mixed grip!?". If he would have said he did 190kg middle fingers Double-Overhand.... I would just have proceeded to kill myself or something :D ... heh heh.

Middle fingers deadlift front grip .. up to 110kg ... it hurt !! Sorry Big Steve !

One hand pinch .. up to 100 lbs x 5 singles

Seated Rolling Thunder curls .. up to 110 lb each arm

Wrist curl rolling thunder .. up to 120 lbs x 5 x 5

Reverse wrist curls ... 100 lbs x 10 x 3 sets

Trained in Wales biggest gym today, where James "Flex" Lexis trains and Big Rob Terry a TNA wrestler.

Never been there before , the place is massive , where every conceivable weight and machine can be found.

Incline press .. up to 220kg ( 480 lbs) x 3 singles , upped my game a bit , lots of muscle monsters watching !

Seated shoulder press .. up to 182.5kg (400 lbs ) x 3 singles

Bent over rows ... up to 220kg x 5 x 2 sets

Flexs' heavy d/bell .. weighing 110 kg (242 lb) x 10 x 3 sets , it hasn't been moved since Flex used it last. I did not use straps or chalk.

Chins/ pull ups .. bodyweight (300 lb ) x 5 , bodyweight plus 25 kg x 5 , b/weight plus 50kg (110 lbs )x 5

EZ bar curls .. up to 110 kg x 2 x 3 sets

Hammer curls to shoulder .. up to 60 kg x 5 x 2 sets

Seated wrist curls with d/bell .. up to 60 kg x 10 x 3 sets

Denis Cyplenkov (sp) wrist curls .. up to 40 kg x 20 x 3sets

Hello tja, put an olympic bar in the corner,like u do with lat bar rows. Hold the two inch end. Support one arm on end of knee and wristcurl the weight . Very good pump!

Tuesday 12th July

Close grip bench .. up to 200kg x 3 x 3

Clean and press with d/bells .. 120 lbs x 10 x 3 sets

Clean and press with middle Thomas Inch .. 10 singles , hard.

Grippers.. No2 x 10 , no3 x 1 , No 3.5 x 1, SE x 1 , GE x 1 , No3 x 5 no set , No3 inverted x 3 x 3 no set , right and left arm.

Friday 15th July

Incline .. up to 220kg x 3 singles

Partial deadlifts .. using 2 fingers of each hand , up to 300 kg ... Front grip no thumbs .. up to 320 kg ... Front grip up to .. 500 kg , no belt used

Rows up to ... 220 kg x 3 x 3

Chins .. up to 60kg plus bodyweight x 5 x 3

Wow Chris, I always thought you weren't "World Class" with the grippers... but did you close the BB Grand Elite? Man, that's definitely worthy of a video. I'm gonna heve to go find your son's youtube account and nag him asking him to video you, LOL.. :bow

Incline d/bells ... 8 x 3 sets x 80 kg d/bells

Dips .. up to 8 x 3sets x bodyweight plus 100kg

Pullovers .. 3 sets x 15 lightweight , nice stretch

Vulcan grippers , Orbigrip.

Thursday 28th July

Bent rows .. 3 sets x 10 x 180 kg

One arm rows using Thomas Inch d/bell .. 5 x 5 , hard towards end !!

One arm lift with handle .. up to 250 kg for 5 singles , thanks to Honk for generously sending me a handle, thank you buddy.

Saturday 30 TH July

Shoulder press d/bells .. up to 70 kg x 8 x 3sets

One arm military .. up to 70kg x 5 singles

Upright rows using 2" barbell .. up to 100 kg x 3 x 3

Barbell curls 2" bar .. up to 100kg x 3 x 3

Reverse barbell 2" bar ... 60kg x 8 x 3sets thumbless

Bench lockouts ... 280kg x 10 secs x 3 holds

Bench machine full stack using one hand 3 sets x 10

Squats ... up to 280kg raw x 3 singles

Front squats .. up to 200 kg x 3 x 3

Leg ext .. 3 x 20

Leg curls .. 3 x 12

Abs
