barbe705
Great performances at the contest Brent! thanks ben. things didn't go quite as planned but, nothing got too far away from me. weirdest thing about this comp is the aches and pains. normally my flexors are sore. they're fine but, my extensors are killing me in both arms. first time that's happened. Jedd Johnson
wrist roller?
barbe705
wrist roller? maybe. I had been training that though. it might just be that they are my new weakest point and they have to be brought up in strength.
Jedd Johnson
I noticed you had elbow sleeves on during the wrist roller - is it possible they resricted your movement? Not sure how tight they are, maybe they caused a compression stretch effect or something.
barbe705
those sleeves are pretty loose. I did have my left elbow taped to keep the tendonitis down. going into the comp I had been hitting my lower arms with lots of soft tissue work. I was getting lots of bruising in the are that's sore. maybe hitting the roller hard like that broke a bunch of stuff up.
barbe705
supposed to hit the gym tonight. I can't recall a comp that wiped me out like this. I have zero desire to train right now. I'm hoping I can go through the motions and get something to happen.
EricMilfeld
supposed to hit the gym tonight. I can't recall a comp that wiped me out like this. I have zero desire to train right now. I'm hoping I can go through the motions and get something to happen. A little lazy time is good. I did hit some light deadlifts (cuz that's all I could pull) and some log press two days ago to get some muscle back on my body. Maybe try some new lift or form of exercise for a change of scenery... barbe705
6/12/13 hit some grippers for multiple triples. couldn't seem to make anything else work. block weights were all glued down. still having some trouble with training. might be from hectic work schedule. barbe705
The 7/7/13 is Pretty high volume for you, isn't it? yes, josh was over so it tends to go longer. it's almost not possible when I'm by myself. if I'm alone as soon as I can I make my next attempt. with 2 of us it spreads things out a bit and allows me to get in a lot more work. also, I've noticed that I'm not really beat up after we have these long sundays. makes me think I can handle a lot more volume than I have been getting.
