British Iron Grip 2007

Cheers. I'll pm all three later today.

Hello Steve,

I have some Ivanko chrome/calibrated powerlifting plates if you get stuck, they are calibrated to within 10 grams of their stated weight.

Also, in my bench pressing days with the BDFPA, They had an agreement where you could go to any Avery-Berkel depot and get all your plates weighed for free. If you need any help with this let me know. Obviously calibrated plates would be best, but if you can get an accurate weight for yours, that would do.

See you soon,

Laine

The local guys at the other gym I use are part of the BDFPA and they told me that use the local trading standards office scales. Same cost as a scale hire place.

David, coming right off of surgery, and with some very strong guys participating, my hat is off to your competitive and adventuresome spirit. Liz too, for that matter.

Steve, how many attempts are there on each event? Is it "rising bar"? Lastly, how many different grippers will you be using, do you know yet?

Mike,

It'll be good to meet you.

The hospital discharged me on Friday, and said they can't do anymore. It's painful still, but the pain is dimishing, and the flexibilty is nearly back, and I'm pressing 50k now. So it's looking up.

I had a go at the One Hand Lift on sunday, and basically made the decision then. It wasn't great, but there was no extra pain.

As I said this is a starter comp, and I hope I can show well, but it's really a stepping stone for comps later.
