My arms didn't start feeling good till after tues. Herc. Hold took a lot of my biceps. The main thing though I got my 1st FBBC bending cert 1/4"x6" G5 and that was very easy should have went for the 5.5 or 5" G5 my short bending was doing very well maybe next time I usaully bend on Mondays I'm still to work on that 1/4"x7" sq. want to focus on some 6" stuff for the next 2 bending contest one Feb. in Tucson the other in April in Texas Looking forward to seeing you again Robert Edited October 19, 2007 by lone Wolf

Apprently if I had gotten that 5" G5 I would've tied with Chris! Oh well, next time I'll actually pay attention I didn't know that John offered certs on G5's, would my 5.5 count? Lookout, at my next session the 5" G5 AND the G8 are going to fall so I expect you to be right up there with me! Yeah John offers certs down to 5" on G5's & G8's I feel stronger on some of the shorter bends but I'd like to be able to knock down some of the longer Bends too. Plus I never know what length of bends Eric Milfeld is going to have at his contest he say it going to be 6" so now I have a opening bend just have work on following bends now. Do you do much work with stainless I feel it helped a lot I got especialy with my crushdown the 6" G5 I did it in about 20 sec. maybe less my next batch of stainless from fastenal will be 303 - 1/4" hex when I can work that down to 6" I should be close to the G8 as soon as I get it I will calibrate it at 7", 6" & 5" and let you know. I'm going to try the 5.5" G5 my next workout I got a few from John also some 5" you just never know

My 5.5" went under 2" in about 30 seconds, I just like to get them down as close to 1" as possible. For me it's the kink not the crushdown I have trouble with, if the steel is an especially hard piece, even if I'm strong enough my form usually falls apart as it did at the BBB. I had never bent a 60d or G5 before Saturday so technique tweaks alone got me near a G8.

The SS will really help you with your crushdown especialy when you start getting close to 6" my 1/4"x7" SS comes in at 310 lbs. for 30* kink at 6" at 390 lbs. neilkaz
Good to see you back training, Robert, I was missing reading about your continued PR's. .298 DR ..is that 19/64 ? If I recall you get your DR at Fastenal like I do ? Do you get your 5/16" HRS there also ? If so, do you recall which DR size about equals the difficultly of 5/16" HRS. Thanx and congrats on the PR and I think you'll be taking out 5/16" CRS soon .. neilkaz ..
lone Wolf
Thanks Neil the .295 D.R. had went down pretty good last week so thought I would try the .298"= 19/64" the crushdown was really hard on that one I'm going to have to calibrate one to see where it falls the .295 came it 405 lbs. kind of curious where the .298 comes in at. Will have to look at some of my notes to see what what D.R. come in at 250 lbs. at 7" I'll get back to you
