StalwartSentinel
Thats a pretty sick hammer curl. Most I ever did was 10x110- Aaron I think I have a 150 in my left hand (if I did them earlier in the workout). Gets a bit scary when it's that heavy. I can still feel the tops of my forearms, from the sledge hammer earlier this week. That didn't help me one bit, doing the hammer curls last night. lifesnotfair
I think I understand why some have stated that your levering is even more impressive than your gripping.... I toyed with my 6lb sledge, and I couldn't front raise it from halfways of the handle!! LOL. Then again, I'm struggling to hammer curl a 45lb dumbell for reps and you can do 125lb, but still, from 6lb @ half, to 15.3lb @ end of handle, that's like 5 times stronger. Wow. StalwartSentinel
Felt wiped-out today. I was going to add a triceps exercise to the end of this, but I wimped out. How much can you do on strict biceps dumbbell curls? Lately... I don't know. I stopped doing them many years ago, as they bother my wrists. My wrist/forearm bones don't want to turn that way anymore. I'd have to ease into these and I think that would be a waste of a good workout, so I just don't do them. If I ever do singles, I'll let you know. StalwartSentinel
Dude, your pulldowns are sick. Thanks. I'm now at 5x45's per side on the pulldown and 4x45's per side, plus 25's on the row. If I have to go heavier it's either weighted chins, or ask the Gym for the old "non-rubberized" plates. The machine spindles only hold 5 per side. With metal plates, it would be 6 (552 pounds).
lifesnotfair
Do people stare at you and look scared when they see you using those weights? Don't ask for metal plates! Just do weighted chins!!

Just do weighted chins!! Some people look to see what I am doing. Some come up to me and ask what my secret is and I tell them... work your grip and forearms. I don't make a spectacle out of it, with screams and shouts of "LIGHT WEIGHT! YEEAAHH BABY!"

lifesnotfair
You mentioned that you can't do dumbell bicep curls, because your bones wont put themselves in that possition or something.... SO, I assume you can't use a flat barbell to do curls, right? .. but what about an EZ-bar? It hurts my wrists to use a barbell too, but I can do the EZ-bar (although I quit on that for a while, and I'm doing chin-ups instead).. I'd like to know what you can curl, seeing you can hammer curl 125 and you said you had a 150 in your dominant arm!!

StalwartSentinel
How much do you lower the bar in the standing shoulder press? And man, the way you ignored my previous question owned. Down to my neck/chin. No straight bar curls... maybe EZ-curl someday, we'll see. Why don't you try to do a 150 pound dumbell hammer curl and do the math for yourself?
