FrankyBoy
11/18/2006 Morning Session: Grippers Noset Reps on the #1, full no-set Left: 11,13,12,14 Right: 22,24,20,23 I need long rest between those sets (up to 30mins) since my forarms get pumped up like crazy doing a single set. Evening Session: Bench Warmup: 20x20kg 10x20kg (pec felt sore, hence the 2nd warmup set with 20) 10x40kg 5x60kg 2x80kg 5x5x100kg I made pretty long rest between those sets, Greg was watching on yahoo. Next time I'll try to reduce the rest time to 5mins or lower.

FrankyBoy
11/22/2006 LAZINESS Boy my motivation sucked today. 'Did' RT, Bomb and vbar. Everything off, so it wasn't as real workout. Really nothing worth to mention. But I easily no-closed the Tug #4 key pinch style. PR

FrankyBoy
Thanks! Preparing myself mentally for tomorrows meeting with Flo. Only one thing is sure so far: It will be a painful day, as usual. Things I planned: Feeding Flo Grippers all styles(of course) Benching (5x5 session) 2-hand pinch 1-hand pinch Thumbwork with grippers (or Tugs) Fat Bar Work ev. Bending easy DLing 1-hand snatch (maybe) Lever
FrankyBoy
11/24/2006 Small Grip Session with Flo (6h) Best feat of the day: A very close miss of Flo with 89.77kg on my calib. 2-hand pinch Euro Setup. Flo 2-Hand Pinch Attempt I was a bit of and failed on 87.5kg, about the same as Flo on his attempt. Both Flo and I did 37kg one-handed on the euro-setup. My front lever was on, the 4kg sledge felt extremely easy (righty). The 53kg Inch was easy too even lefty. I carried it with my right from the basement upstairs to the 1st floor. Flo was a bit worried for the stairs. I again full dead lifted the Blob50, nothing big but Flo seemed impressed. I benched a little: 107.5kg (237#) x 5,5,5,4 (5x5 was planned but we did too many other things) Besides this we tried to pump up our forearms as hard as possible. (Lots or reps >250) Flo finally won with a 37.1cm forearm (straight) After that we had some serious troubles closing the #1 let alone lifting the little Inch. As usual it was a lot of fun having Flo here and kill ourself.
Mikael Siversson
Great pinching by Florian. However, that must have been very close (if not exceeding it) to the max 3'' distance between the knuckles of the pointer fingers rule. Mikael Siversson
What width did you guys use for the one hand pinch attempts?
FrankyBoy
64mm for the one-hand pinch. 48mm for Flos 2-hand pinch. Wheres an overview on the 2-hand pinch rules? I wasn't aware of that 3" rule and how is that normally enforced (controlled)? Is that a newer rule since I never attended a contest where that was explained beforehand. David Horne
Flo, Very close, well done! But more importantly Flo, are you wearing adidas universal trainers? Mikael and Franky, I haven't seen a 3" rule, but to be honest it's probably a good thing to have it, especially after the rubber disc pinch lift fiasco. Otherwise someone will grab the plates at the sides! David
Mikael Siversson
I think it was agreed upon by me, you David and the Diesel Crew (me and the Diesel boys were certainly involved). See the rules for the 2006 GGC where the 3'' rule is mentioned (although the more vague term "between the hands" is used). Mikael Siversson
I wasn't aware of that 3" rule and how is that normally enforced (controlled)? Well basically up to the judge to enforce it I suppose. If I had been the judge I would probably have asked Florian to keep his hands slightly closer together. The "bent arms" technique benefits from keeping the hands further apart so anyone using that style will have to expect a well informed judge to pay special attention to the width between the hands. FrankyBoy
Ah, I didn't check the DieselCrew Site, I was on the AussieStrength Site only. Thanks for the hint.
Florian Kellersmann
Thanks for the writing, Franky. I is always a pleasure and fun to visit you. Also it's always impressive to see you lifting the Blob I wasn't aware of the 3 inch rule too, I was just trying to position my fingers on the seasoned part of the implement. However, I was surprised that I did a PR, cause I had a hard armwrestling workout the night before and I wasn't feel strong. Also I didn't train narrow pinch since the euros in August, I was just doing other exercises for overall forearm and handstrength. Flo,Very close, well done! But more importantly Flo, are you wearing adidas universal trainers? Thanks, David! No, I would like to have the original Adidas Universal, but I wasn't able to get them. So I was happy, when I could get the Adidas Samba white with black stripes (maybe they don't produce the Universal anymore, since they have the white Samba). David Horne
Flo, The Samba is a fine trainer, I have a pair in the more common black and white strip colorway. These are a 90's re-issue. David

David Horne
Flo, Yes the Samba is an inside soccer shoe. The earliest catalogue I have with the Samba in is 1963. It's been produced for a long time. What other adidas trainers have you got? Any of the 'City' series? David

David Horne
Flo, Yes I'm a big adidas fan, and yes I know all the history of the Dassler brothers, Adolph and Rudolph. Adolph formed adidas after the brothers split. Adi and Das = adidas. I have a large collection of original items, mostly bought from Germany and France. Many tracksuit tops, including pre trefoil (pre 1972) ones, and a rare 'Globus' logo trackie. This was a logo designed before the trefoil and only used on a few things for about a year. T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc. And of course trainers I have; FORMULA 1 (FORMEL 1) 2 PAIRS OF GRAND SLAM HAWAII HOLIDAY MID MALMO MARATHON TR SAMBA SL 72 SPECIAL (Handball Spezial) SUCCESS PRO TOKYO TOURING TREKKER 3 PAIRS OF TRIMM TRAB David
