I also have 2 books "What they are and how to close them" Strossen and The Grip Masters Manual Brookfield...I have read these and lurked here for a short time. I also have 2 store grippers...haha Disgusted with myself....not recovered from PR workout yet..is it age or still too new haven't built up recovery abilities yet...time will tell. Tried 10/4 to squeeze the 180 again...wait till tomorrow...more recovery...also hurt wrist "playing" with new sledgehammer..on Sunday. Jad had also inspired me...he is a COC and uses an ISG in his workouts...bye the way all you guys inpire me...it is great to have a place like this to come to. itch85
Hey a fan , thanks man glad to be of help when ever i can. Looks like your not doing bad either, recovery will come in time as your hands toughen up thats what i found. When i started using grippers i would do a heavy session and have to wait 2 - 3 days for my hands to recover but i can now go at em as hard and only have to wait a day before training again. Thanks Itch,I have read a lot of your posts and have been watching your progress..you are doing well...I am sure I can learn a lot from you. ←
pdoire
Hi Itch85, Thanks for your encouragement...yeah my hands healed nicely over the weekend. I bought KTA and now started using it ...the initial volume isn't bad at all. I'm aiming at the BBSM when I am done as my goal gripper or about 230-240 ip. We'll see what happens. I feel psyched as well. How are your pushups coming...thats a great debt you have ...lol Good Luck

SqeezeMasterFlash
I've tried a BBM that's just under a #2, mines, just over a #2, and I've tried one that's way harder, maybe a 2.4. Yours should be just what you're looking for.
pdoire
Hi Squeeze, I hope you are right. That will give me all the steps necessary to get to the Elite. Along with my ISG, I hope that completes my crushing grip needs for awhile. When I complete this round of KTA. I will take some days off and then focus on ring, pinky and thumb....KTA style....then hope fully chase the #3.
pdoire
Thanks Josh, As you know your use of the ISG has inspired me. I now have a full set of grippers also...or will have in a week.
bencrush
Paul, nice log you have here. I see that you ordered a Cert SM. What is the handle spread on it?
pdoire
Hi Ben, Thanks for your kind words about my log. As far as the BBSM I have yet to receive it, but it is supposed to be 2 3/4 per Warren...he said that is "cert" width.

pdoire
Week 2 KTA Begins after 1 day off. Hit PR on Left Needed to assist on some overcrushes tonight especially right handed. Tried to close 3 a couple times yesterday and I can feel the stress in my right hand today...Do nothing but KTA...period...hope hand can recover in lieu of increased volume. Also tried to squeeze my PR stone cold earlier and I could feel my right knuckles hurting a little. Also both workouts at night ...first time 2 workouts and they were too late and too close....was busy day today.
pdoire
Had to help on couple last OC's RH...also increased LH to 148 2,9...no problem. pdoire
Thanks Josh, What is OAP in your log? Is it Overhand Assisted Pullups?? I don't know if I am supposed to "step" it up with KTA, but I just feel so strong...even though my hands are sore most of the time. I will be sure to rest this rest day (Monday) instead of trying to close my #3. This is so addicting...it is hard to resist!! I bet you can smell the #4, and hear it calling you
jad
OAP is One armed pullup, it's a new goal of mine. It's performed underhand with no assistance from the other arm, although certain training methods require you to use the other hand for decreasing amounts of assistance until you can perform it with just one hand. It will be quite a while before I close my #4 but thanks for the vote of confidence.
pdoire
That must be working your crush too. How much time do you take off between OAP's and gripper work?
