Did you do consecutive bench workouts?

Sounds like my high school workout routine! Edited by David_wigren

Did you do consecutive bench workouts?

I did. One regular grip one close. I'm hitting a type of bench twice weekly. And I'm letting my lower back recover from the meet before I squat or deadlift.

I need every little pound I can take credit for. Nearly all my plates are heavy. And thanks!

Combined workouts today due to a Colorado trip in less than two days. Lower back was fried for those squats.

Bench

Arms were still a wreck from arm wrestling Saturday. These were not comfortable sets!

How much arm wrestling do you do weekly? Do you think there is any carryover from that to pressing (tendon strength, ect..)?

More like three or four times a year. So every time I pull its as if I'd never done it before, with torn up arms for about a week. But like Jason, I saw no direct benefit for any other movements.

Squat

377x6

400x4

Bench

258x6
