Cold Plunge

I've been wanting to do a traditional winter swim for the past few months but the cards have not aligned for me with it until today.  There was no ice in the lake but it was definitely COLD!  One of my concerns was that my adaptation has taken a hit this winter due to some inconsistencies with doing the ice baths.  But, I´ve been doing daily cold showers, at a temperature range of 45-50 degrees.  This, apparently, was enough to maintain my  adaptation, as the water was tolerable.  The hardest part was trying to get warmed back up and the distance from home.
