Left arm seems to be lagging and making the press difficult. I think when I started using the inzer elbows sleeves + doing a cont clean, it ravaged my bicep and its still a little beat up. Didn't care too much at the time, but it might be affecting my press a bit.

Sorry I missed the rest of the workout, I was still babysitting haha. So it is your left bicep acting up, or is it the elbow?

It felt more like the bicep, not sure why that would affect the press though.

Axle C&P

2 x 245 + 3 cleans - was having rack issues. the axle is so bent that if it rolls forward I'd drop it, I don't use thumbs so it was hard to stop. if it rolls in, it really strains my elbows and wrists. because of this, i'm done using this particular axle. not worth the wear and tear.

One Arm DB Press

5 x 105 - 3R

3 x 115 - 2R

I pretty much never do this, and it shows.

I'm excited for all of the crew to be doing some of the same events!! Good run on the DB, we should get together to think of a way to get tight clamps on the Circus DB so they don't slide during the clean... unless you guys have figured that out already! :)

I was just using the regular DB handle, not the fat handle...

Need to get in the groove of conventional DL. Been doing sumo for about 3.5 months. All full reset reps too, of course. Doing touch and go was hard to get back into, even though it wasn't that long ago I was a touch and go whore.

Thanks Mike. But no, not a PR unfortunately. I did 13 x 500 full reset a long time ago. Good news is 12 x 475 wasn't a max, and my back is holding up, so happy with that. I'm planning on doing something I haven't done in a really long time... compete. In 10 weeks at Sauk Rapids in the 265 class. Also, started a diet this week, with the goal of getting to about 240 so I can go LW. Maybe not by Sauk Rapids, but still this summer.

Now, on to burning off those 18g of carbs from today...

Ended the pressing early. 'ceps, forearms, wrists are taking a beating from the axle. JDef got a new ironmind axle so I really wanted to try it. Going to stop axle for a while, probably even switch to bench to give my arms a rest. Don't need to work axle for any contests this summer anyway.

Doing some conditioning that day actually helped reduce the hunger.

I don't have to lose weight to go 265. I would like to be able to go LW sometime after Sauk Rapids though.
