ISG session#9

3,5x10, 4,7(130)x10, 6,10(218)x3, x3 had to brace on the last 2 reps of each set mad.gif maybe it was the hay haulin and no squats to stimulate the nervous system either.

2 hand pinch smooth 35's grip surface

70x3, 125x3 X7 sets

bending

1/4" x7" kinked it duh finished it with a belly brace doh laugh.gif at this rate I'll be looking to open with pipe cleaner and final attempt with coat hanger.

2" bar deadlift just below knee hold for time doh

75xeasy hold, 165xeasy, 215xeasy 265xtough, didn't time it but will start with this weight next session I'll actually time myself.

done, should've done more but lazy

repeated the isg session Sunday night wasn't much better still needed to brace the last set, so I am going to just finish the program bracing as I must and move on to something else.

had some computer trouble the last little while so I missed some logging, finished the coan program with the ISG and am switching to one of Hepburn's routines on it.

elbows are trashed post GGC2007, man it was a blast getting to do a dieselcrew comp again!!! It was great meeting everyone. Should have gotten 190 in the pinch and 300 in the v-bar but just not strong enough that day to get them in contest form. Still I'm happy as I know I can lift these now. I'm really happy with my pinch as I had put that drill through my right hand a couple weeks back and didn't think I could pinch anything.

I won't be doing any grip training this week. Gonna stretch and ice, I normally have the tennis elbow flare up but this is the other side of the arm...golfer's elbow? Will Do rehab stuff next week then ease back into it the following week. I'm also gonna wear elbow sleeves for my barbell work this week.

Hi Jonathan,

I'm rehabbing tennis elbow myself and noticed that stretching a lot seems to be the key. As soon as I forget to stretch, it gets stiff. Very frustrating injury, mine didn't start getting better until I re-injured it (must have broke up old scar tissue and stimulated healing).

Nice pinching; competing in the GGC must have been a rush!

Yep, mine own damn fault for not doing enough prehab stuff. Weird getting hit with the other tendons vs. the tennis elbow which I dealt with after the last GGC I went to. I found icing and stretching was the only thing that helped it (that and backing off of the grippers for a few months)

Tonight I didn't wear the elbow sleeves for my BB work and the elbows complained a bit, still I am planning to ease back into the grip training pool next week.
