He'll be turning pro shortly.

As of now he's not on the radar either - (if you were to check with those who post religiously on Marunde) - which is a good thing. Although I know that some of the regulars on Marunde know who Mike is and what he is capable of. Pretty soon the predictions will be flying for that contest

DB Ext. Rot.:

set of 6

25, 35, 45, 55 (ugly)

052509

Axle Clean and Press for reps (2.5" axle):

115 x 3, 205 x 3, 255 x 2, 295 x 2, 325 x 8, 375 x missed the clean 3 times then got it once but was gassed for the press

cluster 265 x 5 x 5 x 4 (25 sec rest)

This axle was a beast; the extra diameter, paint, and humidity made it very difficult to clean and stabilze at the top.

Keg Press (parallel grip):

35 x 1, 160 x 1, 225 x 0,0,0,1,0,1

This toke some getting used to but I finally figured out how to do it. As a side note, this is a dangerous and stupid lift to attempt.

Plate Row:

100 x 6, 200 x 6, 300 x 6, 300 x 6, 345 x 5, 345 x 5, 300 x 6

I regret not trying that axle very seriously. Nice work, both you and Kelly appear to have put some nasty work on it.

That got me thinking about how much you could clean on a 2.5"? or your 3"?

665 x 2.5 laps, 550 x 2.5 laps, 450 x 3.5 laps, 350 x 4 laps, 250 x 3 laps

this sucks to train by yourself, almost tipped it over again with 800

That got me thinking about how much you could clean on a 2.5"? or your 3"?

I DO deadlifted 260 to lockout on the 3 inch bar. Still haven't tried cleans on it but I'm guessing even with the alt. grip it would get heavy fast.

Lots of bold in the training log the last few weeks, you going to taper up nicely to SD?

Also, what angle have you been using on your log incline? You still look to the side and all that?

I didn't like having to turn my head so I would leave it at a low incline (go at as much of an incline as you can without having to sacrifice which way your head is turned).

I will take it easy 7 days out from comp.; typically I only take a few days off but this time I will take a little more rest.

If you could get over 200 on the 3" Axle Clean that would be pretty damn good I would think. btw, throwing looks fun!

The best way to differentiate the two would be think of them as BTN vs. Front Press, only not as pronounced because of the fixed apparatus and arching motion. I wish they had an emoticon that blew kisses
