Been doing them alternated with ISOs for a few months. I mostly use the Chest crushes for GTG work, but last night I wanted to see if I could do more than a single on the WC. Yep, completely serious. When I was at the MGC, I did a chest crush with it for Don right before I left at almost 1am and you could hear the clack of the handles hitting. I believe I remember reading somewhere that Big Steve had done it for 10 reps. I don't know how mine compares to his but its like a #4 compared to a BBSM above the Pro I have. Its Flush mount and 2 7/8 spread. Edited August 14, 2007 by acorn

lifesnotfair
Well, you used to Bench 550 you've said, but the last times you wrote your bench workouts it was nowhere near those weights, so I didn't expect you to be so strong at chest crushing. Awesome!! Heh.

acorn
Quite the session Aaron Thx John. Also I almost forgot that I moved one of my old iso bars 7x5/16 SS 303 hex from 4" to a little under 2.5 early in the bending workout and plate wrist curled the 25 for a few reps RH before the Sledge levering. - Aaron Edited September 3, 2007 by acorn

lifesnotfair
You were wiped after just that? Jeez, someone needs to man up a bit May I ask you how you do your front levers? Do you have your arm straight down, and the sledge with the head ponting down (to the floor), and you bring it up to parallel with the floor while keeping your arm straight down (perpendicular to floor at all times) ?? BTW, were you always able to plate wrist curl a 25lb plate? If not, how did you progress if a 10lb was too easy?

I do front levers with my arm parallel to the floor and let the hammer move down to parallel with the floor (or close to it) and back up. When I started doing PWC I could do 2 10s for a few reps but not the 25 yet. I worked up to 2 10s for 20 then started doing them with the 25.I think my best on it is 12 but I havent been able to do them for awhile as I injured my wrist flexor tendon doing them about the same time I was to do the MM1 and it usually gets pissed off when I do more than a few reps now. But it is slowly getting better so I try them every once in awhile when I'm feeling good and warmed up. - Aaron

lifesnotfair
That's quite an interesting way of doing front levers Aaron. I like the fact that every rep is completed when you reach a "resting" possition... they I do them (which is the same way I asked about), every rep is completed when the hammer reaches a place where I have to making a lot of effort. My delts are so weak though, they might give in before the wrist if I do it like that :P Thanks for the info!
