Stuff it! I haven't gotten anywhere with my bench routine. I will go hunting for one that works.

Timmy, you could try mine. Details are in my training log page 2 or 3. I've had good success with it.

I've already found a bench routine( 5x5, off Marundes site). I need to put it together with other workouts.

Today had to be the most grinding workout - EVER!!!!!!

I decided to do strap holds on the #3, and worked up to 35lbs!

I proceeded to rest my hands for my #4 workout........

#4: Full sweep negs

Set and force closed against my wrist: 3, 5, 5, 5

This part almost destroyed my hands!

Choked then forced against wrist: 10, 7, 10, ...... As I was about to give up, I decided to go to failure on slow reps - for 3. The last reps took me 10 seconds to complete!

My forearms felt like a rock, and my hands were swollen.

Ahhhhhh......... Trying to do 3 finger reps on my #3, then all of a suddenly, the bottom of the handle rips skin off my palm!

Yuck, that sucks. Did you have a blister that tore, or a callus? Or can the force of a #3 just do that?

Nope, just a sharp handle.

Ahhh, keep breaking PR

Gripper:

Forced sweeps: 1, 2, 3,

Forced reps from set position: 3,5,5,5,6

Forced reps in choker: 10,20,15,20..... held the last rep for 5 seconds.

Ok, my workout regimme isn't working, so I'll change it...........

Monday will be a speed, and fast twitch muscle workout.

Bench: 100lb x 10;

160lbs x 5........ Performed quickly with only 1 minute rest between sets.

- 3 minutes rest

Dips: Rapid fire 10 reps for 3 sets......1 mintue rest between sets

- Superset -

Clap Pushups: 3 x 10... 30 Seconds rest.

- 3 minutes Rest

Power Jacks: 3 x 4

5 sets of forced reps against my wrist.

I'm jealous that you got your grip workout in before 7:00AM.

I have just contacted IM, so I should be doing my IM cert in the future - and hopefully - I will be the 3rd cert this year! :cool

Good luck, Timmy! Hopefully you followed Teemu's experience and can head a few issues off at the pass. With PRs on the 3 like 10 reps and a NS close, I think you'll be doing well!

I was messing around with the Elite and #3. I did a warm-up with 3 reps on the #3, then grabbed the Elite, and missed it by 1/4". I rested and gave the Elite another ride, and felt clanked the handles together. I will get a video on thursday for the list in Records and Stats.

Ahhh, one of my worst days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I was stretching, THEN RIP!!!, my left shoulder was in agonising pain - even setting a gripper was too painful. When I felt the area, it seems like the muscle has been stripped from the bone.

This might take a while to heal........... :erm

This really sucks. Get your a$$ to a doctor and keep us posted.
