Strong workout man. Are you preparing for an armlifting comp?

I used to love doing good mornings, maybe I'll do some next week.

Thanks man!

I might do the Arm lifting super series in the next few weeks but I'm definitely doing King Kong in October.

Dude, the good mornings in the SSB felt amazing!

I see! I wish you a good training cycle and a well-timed peaking. It's been a while since I did competitions (not armlifting though) but I was thinking recently to program my bending to a "cert day" I decide myself beforehand.

The safety bar would be so good for me. I do more shoulder warmup before squats than leg or lower back and I grab the bar almost the widest possible.

Results from my first Grip comp, the 2022 US Grip Sport Championship!

Finished 8th overall and 2nd in the 120kg class

20mm gripper block set 165RGC

3" Saxon 198lbs

2" Napalm Nightmare 402lbs

Little Big Horn 178lbs

Super happy with my results. Hit PR'S on grippers and LBH and that was my first time ever touching a Saxon or NN.

Afterwards I hubbed a shallow York 45lb plate, bent a Red in IMP's and some 70d's, ripped a pack of Bikes in the box and lifted a 135lb Inch.

Great time, can't wait for the next one!

Congrats man great lifts. 165 gripper is no joke. The comp looks like it would be a good time really hoping I can make it to my first comp sometime soon.

Thanks brother!

It was a great time and everyone is super nice!

King Kong is in October, you should see if there's a place by you hosting one.

That's not too bad. Some guys drove 7, 10 and 12 hours for this contest. I got lucky and only had a 2 hour drive. I'm sure you'll do really good at King Kong

Really strong numbers for a first meet 💪 The gripper close is extremely impressive!

Just curious what's your best lift on the 2H 3" Arm Assassin block? Because 198 is really good for never using a saxon bar lol.

I got the 2h 3" block the week of the comp and pulled 166. I tried making it similar to a Saxon soni used my 8" loading pin and stood in bumper plates lol. I think I'm gonna buy one soon though.

That's clever of you trying to mimic the set up like that. You made the 166 look easy. I'd also imagine your block isn't very seasoned yet(if at all) making it more impressive. I use the same one to train for the saxon bar lol.

Should be interesting to see how KK goes. I'd think the 2" pinch block could be somewhat of a substitute for the flask. At the rate you're going I think you'll do really well at KK!

Grip and bending

Trying to figure out some openers for Arm lifting USA meet this Saturday

2" Napalm handle (I don't have a 2" Raptor. And I know the Raptor is much more slick/difficult)

178lbs 3R 2L

153lbs 3R 3L

Blue Fat Gripz DL

275x 1,1,1

Grip Genie Hilt (trying not to spin)

178 R

153x2

125x5

Bending

Red in IMP's and half suede

Red in IMP's (12 seconds)

Pre kinked Hexabastard 20° finished in doubles

Forearms felt sore from Saturday so hopefully I'll get some better numbers on Sat.

Bending surprised me. Really wanna get the Hexabastard in under 5 minutes soon.

Squats, Finnish ball and Flask

Squat

185lbsx7x5

135x10

Finnish ball

55lbsx1 LH

50lbsx4 sets 3 reps both hands

40lbsx10 reps both hands

Flask

70lbsx1 both hands

60lbsx6 reps each hand

Squats were pretty good, didn't go heavy wanted to work on form and get a bunch of reps in .

Finnish ball felt better as the sets went on. Trying to build work capacity.

Flask felt slippery, was still kinda beat after Finnish ball.

Bench, hub and bending

Flat Bench

185lbsx6x5 last rep paused

135x12 narrow grip

Ironmind Hub (in-between bench sets)

Worked up to 65lbs each hand then a bunch of singles at 60

Bending

DO Horrido A2 IMP's

A2 in IMP's reverse grip

DO 6" A2 IMP's

Finished a pre kinked (15°) Hexabastard in doubles

Bench felt good, just working some light volume. Grip felt pretty good, think I can hit 70 soon. Bending surprised the crap out of me. I got that 6" A2 fast!

Killer bends! That A2 at 6" was like a warmup.

Thanks man! Yea, it surprised the hell out of me, guess I gotta chop some more off!

There's a contest going on for Horrido. Bend his bolts in IMP's within a minute

I know, sounds pretty interesting! I cut my own cordura from a big sheet I bought so I'll order some IMPs from CPW next month to participate (DU). I still have a few A2s to play with.
